smatz151 - 12-12-2003 at 11:13 AM

Does anyone know where i can get an ima robot t-shirt? I have been checking the web and haven't had any luck

colforbin6 - 12-12-2003 at 11:39 AM

the Los Angeles Napster show

koyaanisqatsi - 12-12-2003 at 12:24 PM

hey i'm new to the boards.. but i was lucky enough to see the band at Brick by Brick in San Diego--stunning show.

Anyway, does anyone know anything about the Los Angeles Napster show? i can't find anything.

Thanks a lot.

draconian - 12-12-2003 at 12:44 PM

I'm wondering what that's all about, too. At some point I will become frustrated in my search and contact those in the know, but at this point I bet it's one of those Napster 2.0/3.0 things like was held at the House of Blues in L.A. this year--I think it's a webcast or something.

January 16th at Henry Fonda Theater

draconian - 12-12-2003 at 03:10 PM

Changing initial post to reflect announcement that January 16th L.A. TBA is now going to be held at the Henry Fonda Theater.

Thank you so much

koyaanisqatsi - 12-13-2003 at 12:06 AM

Yeah i was researching for a while today about the napster thing until i finally gave up... i want to make all five shows... their energy is insane and the shows are so much fun.

i dont understand how ppl miss the creativity behind the music.

Anyway, i really appreciate your help, its very kind of you.

TurtleEnterprises - 12-13-2003 at 09:47 AM

Any idea when were gonna be able to purchase tickets for the LA show at the henry fonda theatre? i didnt see them on ticketmaster.

sweeeeeetness!

RoboticTerrorSTD - 12-13-2003 at 01:15 PM

so far i plan on going to 3 of those show. i couldn't find tickets for the Henry Fonda Theater either.

TurtleEnterprises - 12-13-2003 at 11:56 PM

One more question... Are these there own shows. Or are they the opening acts still?

draconian - 12-14-2003 at 07:53 AM

The Henry Fonda tickets aren't on sale yet. I believe that Spaceland productions presents some of the shows at that venue, and wouldn't be surprised if they were hosting the event. You might want to keep checking www.clubspaceland.com as well as ticketmaster for info.

No word yet as to where Ima Robot is on the bill, but until we hear otherwise, I think it's safe to assume these are their own shows (no other band has been mentioned with the release of these tour dates, yet).

edit: If you link through to some of the venues listed on our Tour page, they list only Ima Robot for the dates...so it is looking more and more likely that they will be headlining on this early-January tour. Hopefully testing out new material before Europe?

napster show

msviscious - 12-15-2003 at 01:46 AM

what's up with the napster show....????

draconian - 12-15-2003 at 05:31 AM

Likely not open to the public. They may be going in for an interview and web simulcast. Of course, I am just guessing on this one. But since .com removed it from their tour list, I assume it is a booking but not a public appearance.

henry fonda show

felicity - 12-18-2003 at 11:47 AM

i don't know if the henry fonda tickets are on sale yet but i do know that dengue fever is opening for ima robot that night. not sure if there is another opener as well...

draconian - 12-18-2003 at 02:19 PM

Tickets are on sale. They can be purchased online from ticketweb.com --or in person at Aaron's Records or at the Henry Fonda box office.

So psyched that Dengue Fever is opening! A friend of mine goes out with the drummer. Very original sound and they have a huge following in L.A. Yay!

n0lram - 12-19-2003 at 12:04 PM

Fuuuuuuuuck.

They won't let me in the LArimer Lounge. Motherfucker.

Goulet - 12-30-2003 at 12:37 AM

HOLY SHIT!!!!

THEY MADE IT AN ALL AGES SHOW!!!!!

LARIMER LOUNGE IS ALWAYS 21+!!!!!

Buying tickets tommorow. Hells yeah.

draconian - 12-30-2003 at 09:35 AM

Hey that's great news! And probably a smart move on the venue's part. It also gives Ima Robot the opportunity for more exposure--at some of those Hot Hot Heat shows, the people who seemed to be having the most fun were the underagers.

MichelleRene - 12-30-2003 at 01:59 PM

You guys are so lucky you live on the west coast! I wish they would swing around the east coast again. Have fun to all who are going to the shows and keep us posted here with photos and reviews!:D

TurtleEnterprises - 1-1-2004 at 08:18 PM

Re: Henry Fonda Show.
I'm just curious, if anyone who's ordered there tickets online has recieved them?... I haven't but maybe it's cause of all the holiday's anyways can someone let me know .... Thanks

Phobiac - 1-2-2004 at 09:48 AM

I did the print them out thing. So I can't really be of much help here. I believe I have two extras, so if you get screwed let me know.

monique - 1-2-2004 at 11:20 AM

i also did the print out and they came right before christmas, what a great christmas gift to myself

The UCLA gig is being promoted on their campus events site:

Alas, I cannot go to any of the shows in LA this time..I was thinking since I won't be in school yet I would be able to, but I have Brody to worry about and it's just too much to deal with..I'll be at the Sacto show, though..If I can get tickets..:wow:

And nice freaking nod to .net, UCLA! Screw you all!!

TurtleEnterprises - 1-12-2004 at 06:59 PM
