NYC's www.bright-lights.org blog gives Ima Robot a nice mention in its December 14th review of the Bowery Ballroom show with the Raveonettes:

"Two fabulously fun shows in a row- let's hope this is an ongoing trend. Ima Robot definitely did not disappoint. Alex Ebert had incredible energy and interaction with the crowd. Timmy, Justin, and Oligee gave it their all as well, but we couldn't help missing Joey Waronker. Scott, the new drummer, proved to be a worthy replacement, though. At one point, Alex even climbed on top of the speakers, swaying, and grabbing at the curtains. (Elvina's inner monologue: "Jump! Oh God, please jump! I'll catch you!";) Good news: our favorite bouncer was back in action. In making our way through the crowd, we spotted two guys from Aerial Love Feed. Well, I did, anyway. I need to work on my telepathy skills (or possibly more overt forms of notification), because Elvina missed them. We left before the Raveonttes came on since we just don't really see what all the hype's about. And besides, we've seen them play so many times since they seem to play a million shows in and around the city. We think there may be some kind of raveonettes conspiracy. Well, if nothing else, we can say thay they do have great opening bands. We weren't able to take any pictures at this show, and considering the strip search they make you go through at Webster Hall, there won't be any from Stellastarr* and Placebo on Tuesday, either. It should be a good show, though!"
