Gig: Troubador, October 30th

Justin - 10-23-2002 at 10:32 PM

Hi,

We're opening for a band called "Mindless Self Indulgence" at the Troubadour next Wednesday night. Details:

The Troubadour, West Hollywood
Wednesday October 30th
9:15 set time
40 minute set

Dunno the cost. Apparently this band will "sell out" the venue, so I don't know how many tickets will be available either....if that is factual or not remains to be seen.

Alex, Tim and I definitely feeling better, by the way! Don't bother getting that flu, it's no fun.

Best,
Justin

Ticket info and directions here:

$15. Mindless Self Indulgence is selling out all their shows, they seem to have a huge national fan base. If you're going to try to make it to this one definitely go the advance route. Actually, there is a direct link on the band website if you're in a hurry:

Man..How pathetic am I that I really can't spare $15? :( My trip to San Francisco this weekend is going to suck me dry!! Oh well..since I'm not a rock star or unemployed, it would be almost impossible to go anyways..:( I know they're going to be rockin'!! Have fun everyone!!:D:D:D

draconian - 10-24-2002 at 01:44 PM

Poobs, I may know someone with an extra if you want to go...

Aw c'mon, Neuwave, you must have an old Boba Fett action figure or something you can put up on eBay to score the 15 bucks!

Or maybe you should be a Galaga hustler.

poobs - 10-24-2002 at 02:15 PM

Oh man..I want to go so bad, but to get a babysitter for the middle of the week is just too hard..:( Thanks though, draco..(I am such a geek..When I think of draco I think of Harry Potter's Draco Malfoy..What has happened to me? :(:D)

Phobiac - 10-24-2002 at 07:08 PM

How crazy is it that Lisa O'Hara, from the Troubadour, got in touch with me via this site asking how to book Ima Robot and now Ima Robot is playing at the Troub. Too cool...hopefully the two events are connected somehow. I always like to think that I'm helping the cause.

Well Poops, I think that I was drac's friend with the extra. I think drac may make the trip out from that cold place where she lives for the show. She better be their number one fan for that one. So the extra may no longer be extra.

Time Continues for the Boogeyman;

WoW! Just checked out a couple tracks from Mindless Self Indulgence. Besides having the sudden urge to break shit they have a pretty interesting sound. OkGo on acid?

My understand is that half the show is up on stage. I'm sure it's not GWAR-like, but suppose to be entertaining.

You can listen to a few songs at www.heavy.com - click on the popup radio link and go to the "Alternative" playlist. I think they have "Full Clip Over The Edge" as well as "Love is a Boombox" on right now.

The other place to look is www.streetvirus.com - they have Dynamite, Alive, Black Money, and The Faker on their player right now. Just fast-forward through the other songs on the player until you find them.

ok, im a litle late but so what
