Last Nights Show at Fletchers!!

 Pages:  1

MichelleRene - 2-26-2004 at 08:09 AM

Last nights show was so much fun!

I ended up having to go solo, but got to meet a couple of fellow .Netters....Trev and Janet! Trev and I stood up front off to the side and come to find out Janet was dancing in front of us....met her after the show. We bought cute pink Ima Robot shirts and took lotsa photos! I'll be posting them tomorrow! Justin took some as well...I guess they may show up on the .Com site????

I had so much fun seeing the Bot again, and meeting some new people....and after the show all of the guys came out to greet everyone! You guys are the Best!! It was good to see Alex and Scott hanging out too!!!!

Thanks Janet and Trev for such a great time....hopefully we can all meet up at a Bot show again...too bad not tomorrow in Philly!:D

RoninZero - 2-26-2004 at 08:14 AM

Yeah I had a lot of fun it was nice to get my same spot as last time Front and center! But it was nice that Alex remembered me from the last show!!!!
But i also have plentey of pics i will upload them later today!
I have about 86 pics along with 2 live action shorts!

MichelleRene - 2-26-2004 at 10:49 AM

Great! I can't wait to see the photos! I took quite a few as well, so it's going to take me most of the day tomorrow to work on them....hopefully by the afternoon they'll be up.

Janet or Trev checking in? I hope you both made it home safely last night, with the long rides home and all. Hey Trev, after I dropped you off at your car, you like disappeared into thin air....very strange....:wow::wow:

TurtleEnterprises - 2-26-2004 at 10:59 AM

I like the thrusting motion, personally..:o

janetdammit - 2-26-2004 at 01:53 PM

hi!

thank you again michelle! the show was superfun. i cannot wait to see all these crazy pictures you must have in store. promise me you wont omit any, even if they're eyes-closed-queer-faced ones. i'm sure they will make a point of the fun times regardless. i bet you also have a number of candids of which i am unaware...

the drive home was supersmooth, thank you for asking :)

MichelleRene - 2-26-2004 at 05:03 PM

I just uploaded the photos, but can't seem to get them to post on here. I have some on snapfish.com, but they won't appear when I try to put them on the post...??? It worked before... Some of them are really good. I'm going to email them to Phobiac and hopefully he can post a new thread with a link to the photos!!!

Last night was great!

Hey Justin, we wanna see the photos you took last night!:saint:

zavmaj - 2-26-2004 at 05:46 PM

I made it to the show last night also. What impressed me most was how many people seemed to know the songs as opposed to the last time I saw Ima Robot. Hope they'll come back to Baltimore soon...:wow:

nurzetrev - 2-26-2004 at 11:59 PM

Ever feel like you went out dancing with a ghost?:lol::lol:
...everybody, Michelle is cute and dances just like that spidey when no one is watching, so don't be fooled, it's just shameless self adoration...
but why not, she's good at it.
Ahh, yes Baltimore...killer trash in motion...I just love that area that
Fletchers is in. It was a bit cold out, but nice in the club.
I got some cool pics on the fuji disposible that hopefully will end up on
a disc and will see the light of the .net... and Tivo caught the Late night show, so we got best of both worlds...
pretty cool indeed.
Like I said yesterday, it's a dirty life on the way to the top...and hopefully still is when you get there. Last nights gig was no exception...the sound was
probably not the best the band has heard onstage and at times it was so chaotic in the room that that even if Timmy and Justin were going wild with the noises (which they weren't so much), it probably wouldn't of mattered.
They don't make some soundguys like they used to, at least not heard here anyways.
Still the set was hot even if they seemed a bit road driven. Classics like STD dance were delivered a bit reserved, but rocked. Some of the songs took on new tempos like Dirty life which moved at a creepier pace and parts of Alive sounded like that song Funkytown (the guitar anyway).
I hadn't seen the band since Halloween at the Roxy, and Scott really has
settled in well back there. He lays it down pretty heavy. He shines on that Roland drum pad on Black Jettas...digital beats still in effect, rock on Scott ...cool haircut too, I wasn't worried about that, but he did come off like some prep in khakis at the drummer drama at the Roxy when he got onstage.
Nonetheless, happy to have made the couple hour drive for the gig and
the hang afterwards was as much a treat as an encore would've been.
I hooked up Justin with an early Cadbury chocolate Easter egg, which he seemed happier than shit to get than playing...so Michelle, if you got a picture of him eating that, that's gotta go up. Priceless.
Rock over London, Rock on Baltimore.
IMA ROBOT ...down with the eggs.

nurzetrev - 2-27-2004 at 12:04 AM

...and I've gotta say that the new T shirts are made of the nicest cotton going for the money. Vrrry vrry comfy. A whole closet full is a budding want of mine. Beats those gap tees right out of the ring.
buttons, hott indeed as well.

poobs - 2-27-2004 at 08:07 AM

What do the shirts look like? Do they have any that are in their merchandise store online? I'm thinking of ordering one or two, but would rather buy straight from the concert if I can..

RoninZero - 2-27-2004 at 08:10 AM

Hey i have so many pics who do i send them to or post them at?

Trev.....I know I'm pale but...:no::no::lol:

I just sent all the photos over to Phobiac, so whenever he gets the extra time to post them I guess they'll go up. Thanks so much Kyle!

Yeah, I kinda do dance like Spdey! Had to do the leg lunges and booty slapping moves....hehehe.

Hey Trev, the photo of Justin eating the Cadbury egg did turn out, and I'm sure will be posted. (Was there some meaning behind that I didn't catch?) I had so much fun with you and Janet!!!!!

Ronin, you can probably send your photos to Phobiac.....U2U him to see how he wants you to send them.

Poobs----Janet and I got these really cute hot pink Robot t-shirts! Pinks not a color I wear too ofen, but damn it's so 80's looking and cute. It has their logo written across your boobies really big!!!! I hope it doesn't shrink too much! (ouch!)

Other than that, I can't wait to see all the photos from everyone posted...Man I wish I could go tonight to Philly....hey maybe us east coast .netters can get that trip together to see them in Richmond, VA at the Chili cookoff on March 27th.! It's a Saturday and only a month away!!! That would be alot of fun!!!!

TurtleEnterprises - 2-27-2004 at 09:42 AM

i love that it seems like the .netters look out for eachother and stuff... can't wait for all the good stuff to be posted. i wanna see the shirts too does anyone have pics of the shirt you guys bought?

poobs - 2-27-2004 at 10:04 AM

They sound like the ones they've been selling..They also had black ones, right? But the hot pink ones are a bit more girly, aren't they? I really want that pink polo from their site, but it doesn't have an option to buy it! I guess I'll settle for the black one..And the long sleeve white one..And maybe the other black tee..

RoninZero - 2-27-2004 at 10:30 AM

Ok thanx
Im gonna try and get tix for the Vatech show
i used tolive like 30 mins from Va tech.
I hate that school!
oh well i am gonna go to that are this week end and visit my granny!

Well that sounds like the shirt I have, (I dont do pink often either) but my logo is little :( boo hoo.

Is yours like this?

nurzetrev - 2-27-2004 at 12:24 PM

urge...urge...URGE!!!... oh sorry, uh hi, those T's (the one's sold at the
show) are like poobs said...those shirts - drrr.
And the pink one is a little girly, I mean it's HOT PINK,
but the type of shirt it is, is what makes it a real keeper. It truly is one of
the nicest shirts...more like the best undershirt you could ever want...
but they are not shown on the merch page. Still, judging from
those, that white LS or the Black thing, and the polo, whatever, probably
is high grade clothes man!

Michelle, that cadbury egg was just a wacky gesture, but
was bought for all the right reasons...and if one egg can bring
that much enjoyment, they must be made of dreams and starlight!!
Just like those close that you are selling on ebay for dirt cheap
girl! THat stuff looks awesome...
Richmond, on the otherhand could be pretty cool too (two hrs fr. you at 70mph).
The gig will be pretty hi-larious I suppose, even though we got the
royal treatment by catching them at a small clubhouse, and this
event' is outdoorsy amphitheater style. WTF, mommy where's my
coffee bottle??!?!!?!

MichelleRene - 2-27-2004 at 12:25 PM

No, it has the logo huge across the front...it's really cute. After it comes out of the dryer I'll post a photo of it.....Same color.

Hey Trev!

MichelleRene - 2-27-2004 at 12:31 PM

Yeah! I hope to come to that show in VA next month. How do you get tix and do they have a website with directions and such? I'll need the address for mapquest.

Yeah, getting the royal treatment on Wednesday was cool! We'll be surrounded by lotsa interesting people at the Chili Cook-Off! Not to mention lotsa Hee-Haw bands! Hopefully it'll be a beautiful, warm sunny day!

Athena - 2-27-2004 at 12:34 PM

DAMN! That's the one I want. You cant even tell mine is an Ima Robot shirt! Mine is the same really neat stretchy soft cotton that everyone else was describing though. I wear it to sleep in. That is actually was the fate of all my concert T-shirts until they started doing the whole "girl-t" thing. But even those can be like $35 bucks and I just won't pay that.

Did anyone get a set list? Any non-LP songs? Stop teasing us with photo prospects, give us a little run-down!!

nurzetrev - 2-27-2004 at 01:26 PM

...Std Dance, Sex symbols, and the beat goes on, as far as I recall were the only non LP ones...I meant to get a setlist, but I was distracted. Those songs though are pretty standard and they didn't seem like they were in the mood to go off the rails too much on this night. They do this punk romp at the end that's kind of like a sex symbols reprise, but not really a whole song. Like I said the sound was probably less than welcoming to do anything more than
do it and get off the stage and lick the fondant center out of a cadbury egg.
That shirt is the bomb...for only 14.99, get it cuz yr runnin out of time.
She said across the boobies, keep that in mind.

MichelleRene - 2-27-2004 at 01:36 PM

They played The Beat Goes On:o, wow I don't remember that....maybe I was in the bathroom with my lipstick bowl....:lol::lol::lol:

Yeah, the letters are right across your boobies!!! Did Dyler come up with that design??:wow::o:wow::o:lol:

Robo-boobies and the creamy good stuff

Athena - 2-27-2004 at 02:03 PM

Oooh. Ewww, Trev--- Fondant:
Fon"dant, n. [F., lit., melting, p.pr. of fondre to melt, L. fundre. See Found to cast.] A kind of soft sweetmeat made by boiling solutions to the point of crystallization, usually molded; as, cherry fondant.
:o:o:o:o
fondant, n : candy made of a thick creamy sugar paste

RoboticTerrorSTD - 2-27-2004 at 03:34 PM

poobs - 2-27-2004 at 05:10 PM

nurzetrev - 2-28-2004 at 02:10 AM

I love this planet...lipstick and fondance...gonna get you high

...what movie did the chick say..."no milk will ever be OUR MILK".
:lol::lol::lol::lol::yawn::wow::o:cool2::saint::duh::D:yes::lol::lol::lol::lol:

man I had a good time at this show...and Michelle, you are better
than smoking brownies:cool:

nurzetrev - 2-28-2004 at 02:17 AM

...the cadbury egg though...it's just a gift I thought I'd give to someone and
have them go WTF! ...but justy loved it...gotta see that picture, but the shot I'm thinking of, Michelle I think you were in it? ...is it on yr cammy cam?
pricelessly memorable, like a birthday party...
man I wanna go to that bowling party...

nurzetrev - 2-28-2004 at 02:23 AM

...dear holy lord! I had no idea ...well anyhoo, everyone, this is Hollyweird Reginald...livin' larger than lifesize...

MichelleRene - 2-28-2004 at 12:53 PM

Trev...uh...what the hell is that????
It's soooo big...hahahahaha!

The photo of Justin eating the creamy egg is on the photo pages somewhere in the gallery...it's of me, JMJ, and Ollie.....Look really hard---in Justins hand is your wonderful gift of sugar! I'm sure he needed that boost after the show..

None less it was an awsome time! I'd really love to go to the bowling thing too, but it's pretty impossible for me. But I am looking forward to the Chili cookoff thing. Have you found out any info about that yet????

nurzetrev - 2-28-2004 at 01:01 PM

...yeah, this is a dress up up my roomate and I
had in our hollyweird bungalow...we named him
Reginald. We also had a small tree that had a face and sang along to music...his name is Ronald,
so kooky I know, but I had no idea this jpg would
show up so huge.
I haven't google'd that event, but I'll check it out yo'...
I just saw those pictures, they're so great.
The lipstick bowl really paid off to...primed and ready for the camera:lol::lol::lol:
I think St. Louis is a zillion miles from us...but that shizzle sounds fun...

MichelleRene - 2-28-2004 at 01:05 PM

Yeah Poobs----that's the exact one, same color lipstick and all. Yeah, what a great investment!

:D

IMAWreck - 2-28-2004 at 01:39 PM

about this:

"Scott really has settled in well back there. He lays it down pretty heavy. He shines on that Roland drum pad on Black Jettas...digital beats still in effect, rock on Scott ...cool haircut too, I wasn't worried about that, but he did come off like some prep in khakis at the drummer drama at the Roxy when he got onstage."

yeah, scott is kicking some major ass- I think he's great. I am so happy that the fans, and the band especially, have embraced him and know how much he brings to IMA. But I had to pipe up and say that he does not even own a pair of khakis! YIKES! That is SO not his style. He can rock a pair of Dickies, but never ever Dockers. and he usually sports some whack-ass patterend pair of slacks.

so, just for the record, he is far, far from a frat boy- no big deal, but I wanted to throw my two cents in...

love and robots... :)

nurzetrev - 2-28-2004 at 01:40 PM

...I'll order my lipstick bowl right away...in the meantime, the Richmond show has info on this Radio station's website...
http://www.1021thex.com/chilicookoff.html
though no mention of IMAR, tickets are 15
and it's at a Raceway complex...so it should
be pretty wild...and if they play early, there should be plenty of shenanigan time with the
boys...weather permitting

nurzetrev - 2-28-2004 at 01:48 PM

I'd like to think that they're pretty crafty guys and
had him dress up like Joe Regular on this night...
I mean it was the day before halloween...:lol::lol:,
at Fletchers from what I saw he was totally in the zone dresswise, but looked like almost a different person from the guy I saw climb onstage at the Roxy and shook hands with Timmy Terror before getting behind the skins...
he just looked like he was getting back from church or something, without the tie...serious,
this is funny actually, maybe they were borrowed...or I was hallucinating...yeah
hallucinating, that's the ticket.
None the less, Scott rules with an Iron Fist...
Khaki burning party in the streets around the
world!

IMAWreck - 2-28-2004 at 01:58 PM

aww nurzetrev, you are so kooky! love you and your posts!

I knew you'd understand my horror at having a dear friend thought to be a *gasp* khaki-wearing preppy!!!

yeah, scott was definately in on an elaborately planned farce the night of that LA show... especially if he looked that normal- heck, sometimes I think he might be color-blind with the outfits he puts together! haha

alright- have a great day-

Neuwave - 2-28-2004 at 10:29 PM

Those pics are great!!!!

Technology is so great. I feel like I was there. :)

Daang the boyz are rollin!!!

nurzetrev - 2-29-2004 at 12:09 AM

...yeah all that and more...and Scott disappeared or was not immediately around after the show, so he's not in any of those photos and 'shellster
and I didn't get any interaction with him, but yea he was rockin' some
plaid down the legs and his 'do is like puttin him up there with JMJ 'fro
and Ebert razor slice burns...JW is immortalized, but Scott makes the face and
lays down the techy bricks back there...I had taken some RObitussin the night
of that roxy thing and if you read my review ahile back, it was weird and a little nutty to say the least...but shows like this don't make me miss LA a bit...
but there's no place like Viper Room (say that x3).
I too have a whole fuji full of shots from this night, and if it's not overkill,
will send 'em in....

MichelleRene - 2-29-2004 at 08:48 AM

Oh no!

Don't send in the ones of me screaming at you for tapping me on the shoulder, aahhhhhhh.....I know there are some real winners on your roll of film.

MichelleRene - 2-29-2004 at 10:46 AM

Nothing wierd on the photos, just everytime I wasn't expecting it Trev would take a photo...like right up in my face, while my mouth is wide open yelling at him during the show, and probably of me acting like a tard!

Nooooooooooo!

:D

poobs - 2-29-2004 at 10:59 AM

from the cam, but it just looked like you were dancing to Flock of Seagulls...
does that qualify to bein' tardy?

No, but remember the other day we were all online talking about funny perverted stuff......with Athena and Poobs......well, when I wrote that it just sorta fit......Aw Dyler......we're just havin' fun. We love you Dyler!

nurzetrev - 2-29-2004 at 01:04 PM

...ahh, Michelle, the drinking damage is done, but the headache reamains the same...Mens Recovery project is a band (?) and one of the members(?)
sports masks of similar virtue. What's not to love with an avatar like that?
...tis all in good fun, like Oliver twist...their lives are awful, but they are singing and dancing none the less...
may I have a brownie now? Please?

MichelleRene - 2-29-2004 at 01:39 PM

I wish I had something to put in my brownies.....only brownie mix today.

Man, I truly would love a special brownie...brownies just aren't as fun with out that special ingredient......:D

My Mac took a nap...woo hoo michelle ...FULL CLIP...cookoff comin' up...

MichelleRene - 3-12-2004 at 07:20 AM

Trev where have you been?????

Yeah, the cook off is coming up, I hope I can still go. I'm definitely going to try.

The Alarm is playing at the Hard Rock Cafe' in Baltimore on March 25th! I would so like to go see them. I love the Alarm!!! It's on a Thursday night, so that's iffy....

nurzetrev - 3-17-2004 at 02:45 PM

Uh oh!...who's it gonna be?
Thursday are no problem, but
...you say the Alarm, who I haven't thought about
in awile, hmm...meanwhile (like mentioned in turkey talk: new york) ...this band Farquhar,
may be a different cuppa tea altogether features some amazing studio wizards, one guy who I recorded with, and was in these great bands...Chainsaw Jazz and Sliang Laos (like industrial doors meets Nick cave's Birthday Party) ...they are a hot slab that I don't think should dissapoint...the cookoff though, the radio don't mention ImaR in the ads too much (boo!), but that could be a cool day in Richmond...I can pick up tickets easy, probably won't sellout cuz the other bands are...how should I put it? rediculous excuses for art?...

MichelleRene - 3-17-2004 at 03:03 PM

Trev, you are so funny!

Richmond may be a go! Did you see Willy Hung is gonna be there?

MichelleRene - 3-17-2004 at 03:59 PM

Hey, you also have to bring another Cadbury egg for Justin....:lol::lol:

I'm bringin' the digital camera, so I will be running around taking lots of crazy photos! I want one of Willy Hung!

I hope the Bot can hang a bit, I know their schedule has been hectic! Would be great, though.......none of the other bands are too appealing. But, maybe we'll be suprised.

I can't wait! Pray for nice weather!!!!! If it's rainy will they still have it?

I still need the exact address for the complex so I can get directions off of Mapquest!

I can't go out on the 25th., but my girlfriends and I are going out this Friday night. I want to go to the Depot to dance to 80's music, but I'm not sure if they're still open... Hey Trev, ever heard of The Orpheus, Club Taboo night? It's in Little Italy and it's a Goth/Fetish club--they play great music. I think you would love it! Let me know, and maybe I'll see if I can go there for a while if you wanna meet up. I know Char will go (hopes*** ChaseyLaney....)---we went there one time and had a blast---there's this creepy mini dungeon downstairs where they have dog boy--and for like $5, he'll spank you. We ran back upstairs and couldn't stop laughing---but always a good time--------U2U me if you want....

MichelleRene - 3-18-2004 at 06:48 AM

Some of the photos on there are funny. I haven't been there in a while, but they play the best music-----and there are some cute little boys there Poobs! Unfortunately they usually have a boyfriends....

Ah, we'll see.....it may be a go.

Sounds like a place that Dyler would hang out with.....Dirty Ho would fit in there quite well...
