Oh man..I love this cd..i just picked it up this morning and have been listening to it non-stop..Jon Brion is just a genius..Beck's cover of Everyone's Gotta Learn Sometime is beautiful..the Polyphonic Spree's songs are wicked good!! I highly recommend it..:D

I haven't even seen the movie yet, but knowing that Jon Brion was doing the soundtrack was enough for me..And Beck? Of course I had to get it!! :D

poobs - 3-23-2004 at 06:03 PM

Oh! And the ELO song Mr. Blue Sky is awesome as well..

happysmilely - 3-24-2004 at 06:31 PM

poobs - 3-25-2004 at 10:13 AM

I like Mr. Blue Sky! It reminds me of being a kid and visiting my cousin in Pittsburgh---and riding roller coasters in KennyWood.

I want to go roller coastering! Damn, maybe the Chil Cook-Off will have some kiddie rides...can you see Trevor and I on them after smoking some.....

poobs - 3-25-2004 at 10:38 AM

I can see you guys pushing all the kids out of the way and getting to the front of the line..Laughing the whole time, of course..And telling the ride operator,"Again, again, again, again!!!":lol::lol:

imanodoubtaholic - 4-6-2004 at 12:07 AM

you guys have to see it. one of my new favorite movies. i saw it twice. it was absolutely amazing! the music was somewhat of a character in it. music is always a huge part of movies for me though.. so maybe it's just me.
but go see it!!!

happysmilely - 4-6-2004 at 12:30 AM

No, not I. I'm not much for TV or going out to the movies. Might try for this one, anyone else like?
Looks good.

My favorite movie is "Buffalo ' 66"
But no one ever knows it???

*nice icon imanodoubtaholic, lol and poobs new icon as well*

imanodoubtaholic - 4-6-2004 at 12:34 AM

yeah, if you like unknown movies, this one is good for you.. it's kind of odd to me that they're trying to push it to be mainstream at all. it just does NOT fit.
thanks for the compliment by the way. :)

happysmilely - 4-6-2004 at 08:33 AM

poobs - 4-6-2004 at 12:50 PM

I thought CREAMY CRACK expressed what you were feeling the most..:duh:

happysmilely - 4-6-2004 at 12:51 PM

yes, yes it did :)

poobs - 4-6-2004 at 12:53 PM

I think he expresses how most of us are feeling at most times of the day..Especially when we're feeling like we need to dance..

happysmilely - 4-6-2004 at 12:54 PM

yes, well at least how we feel most the day
is that good or bad???

poobs - 4-6-2004 at 12:56 PM

Well, I don't know about you, but I feel like dancing all the time..I think it's a good thing!! Until I actually start dancing in public..Then it's not such a good thing..:duh:

happysmilely - 4-6-2004 at 12:58 PM

I like to sing and dance
even better in public

batcave_baby - 4-6-2004 at 02:49 PM

I do it (sing, dance, and other things) at work all day. I suppose it's a good thing I have my very own large and lucious office to myself now. They stuck me down at the end of a practically deserted wing of the building so I can entertain myself without "entertaining" other people.

Happy-schmiley, does the Buffalo 66 dude keep saying "Look at me. Don't look at me!", or am I just making that up?

poobs - 4-6-2004 at 03:35 PM

I can actually picture you dancing and singing at work..:lol: Where do you work again?

batcave_baby - 4-6-2004 at 04:16 PM

I work at a University in sunny Camarillo. The campus was formerly a state mental institute (Gotta love those criminaly insane!) that was abandoned for nearly a decade. As you can imagine, there are PLENTY of exploration opportunities around campus, as most of the buildings are still unoccupied (by living beings, at least). There is still a padded cell or two, and a morgue, and many other creepy places with blacked out windows and red walls, etc. No, I'm not a former patient!
