I see no one posts on this topic anymore.. but maybe I'll start a new trend?

I saw Ima Robot for the first time yesterday at Warped Tour in Dallas, and I gotta say they were undoubtedly the best band there. I'm not exagerating when I say they have the best stage presence of any band I have ever seen in my life. They were so badass!! I can't wait to be able to see them again. I bought their Alive EP and I've been listening to it nonstop since I got home last night and it's amazing. They're my new obsession.

So how long has it been since they've toured? Must have been quite a while.. that's too bad. I really hope they come back to the Dallas area relatively soon, but I talked to the merch girl and she said after this tour they'll be going back to LA to record and such.

The people at Warped Tour were alright, I guess. The crowd was really fuckin rude to the Sounds and that pissed me off a little. In the middle of their set, half the crowd rushed over to the stage sitting next to the one the Sounds were playing on because New Found Glory was about to play. My friend went over there and he said people kept badmouthing the Sounds. Pretty lame if you ask me. I don't think that many people were impressed by IMA Robot. Nearing the end of the tour there were only about 10 people that had signed up for the mailing list. One guy said it was the weirdest show he'd ever seen and thought it was really interesting, which I think is a good thing. I was definitely blown away by them. They're so incredible!! The people running Warped Tour this year aren't as cool as they were last year. It's a lot stricter and more regulated. I still enjoyed it very much. I didn't get to meet any of the members of IMA Robot, but I talked to the Sounds a lot. They're kick ass! The IMA set was about 30 minutes long. A little short, but that's about how long everyone played and they did REALLY well. Alex is fucking insane!! I love it.

Well bot was in the US on tour, then did a bit of the UK and now are back on US for warped. They have been on tour for a LONG while now, we just can't get enough of them :D

yeah kinda knew they wouldn't be "loved" at warped, but sounds like they have done ok. And yeah 30 min. isn't very long, but I knew it would be that short. despite it all, I'M STILL GOING FOR IMA!!!!! :yes:

Yeah, with the amount of bands on Warped Tour it's pretty hard to give them a longer time than the 30 minutes. Oh well, it was enough time for me to fall completely in love with them! I can't wait to see them again, and I'm makin some friends go too. I'm spreading the word.

:D yes they are very addictive! That's so sad that some kids couoldn't get into The Sounds and The Bot! But, most of the kids there are there to see Good Charlotte and all the other bands that sound exactly like them. I can't differentiate between them, they all sound the same and claim to be punk....what tha hell? Most of them are just boy groups with instruments....wha, wha, wha...all they do is whine in their songs....real punks didn't whine. Now look at Agnostic Front and Minor Threat, that's real punk! :D

Thank you so much, MR!! I keep trying to tell my friends that most of the bands on Warped sound exactly the same, and they just don't understand! They all sing about the same crap, they're not very good, and they sure as hell aren't punk! I can't stand it when people call these bands punk. It's so annoying. Why is everyone so into this crappy music?

No..But I want to find out since I'll be going on Saturday! I need to know which stage to rush to and camp out at all damn day! I really hope it's not the main stage..I don't want to deal with all those lame kids waiting for New Found Gloryhole..:rolleyes:

Yeah..I'm stoked..I have 4 friends coming up today that have never been here to visit! I'm so stoked! My sister is going to be all hyped up on Vicoden..She found out that her jaw was broken and now they have to shove pins into her mouth and have them connected by rubber bands..It's crazy..:wow:

I saw them last tuesday at the warped tour in Las Cruces. The crowd was ok, even if there weren't many people there because Coheed and Taking Back Sunday were at the same time. I had to drag two friends with me because nobody wanted to miss TBS, stupid bastards.

I had to lure them by telling them the sounds' vocalist was going to be signing autographs at some tent next to ima robot's stage. They bought it, but they forgot about it as soon as ima robot started because they ruled.

Man, I missed the Fulerton dates for Ima...arrghh.

I thought I had a free pass in, but my buddy had to work on a couple other projects.

Just wasn't able to fork over all that money for 30 minutes of Ima Robot. Don't get me wrong, if it was just an Ima Robot show I would have been all over it...

BatCave, I'm sure this was already answered. Set times are post at 10AM - 11AM the day of the show. drac has a link somewhere here where you can get SMS'd the set times when they are announced.

EvilMotivator and I took pictures of the SF Warped Tour. But alas, she is out of town and the film is within her house. I could break in and steal the film, but that would entail careful planning.

I don't think I can get "SMS'd" anything. I don't do the cellphone thing; I like having an excuse for people never being able to get ahold of me! But if anyone is getting the setlist notifications, please post today's set time! I'm really hoping it's after 5 so i don't have to leave work early. I got mine sent to my phone..I looked yesterday at their site for the times and they didn't post them there either..At least, not in a place that I looked..But, they've been playing at around 3 the past few dates, so I'd get there early..:( Have fun!!! :D

I was thinking I'd have enough time to go home and get ready after work, but obvioulsy not if they've been playing that early. Was it necessary to camp out at the stage? The reports back havn't made it seem like the crowd was very enthusiastic, so mayhaps I can push my way to the front at the last minute? Advice?

I don't know if anyone has already mentioned this, but I was looking at the Warped Tour website and in the pit report they have a couple of sentences about Ima Robot and like 6 pictures. It's on the July 13th show that was in Canada.

Yea i checked out the website for warped tour and tried to look at the pictures in the pit report but it's like screwed up, it won't let me see any. oh well. :( yea, when i first saw them at warped tour in calgary, i was like, "they are so cool!" i loved them right away. Alex puts on a great performance, i like the way he moves when he sings, and i think oliver is pretty damn talented to be juggling three things at once. it was kind of funny at the tent, all oliver did was talk on his cell phone and try to autograph cd's at the same time, and for a group picture with the guys from ima robot, he was on his phone. hehe. i think timmy said that my sound's t-shirt was cool, but i wasn't sure if he was talking to me, because he was wearing sunglasses :cool: and i wasn't sure if he was looking at me. haha, i looked behind me to see if he might have been looking at someone else,when he said that. oh well i was too shy to say anything anyways. :o

I love Warped Tou. That's slang for tour. If you were cool, you wouldn't need me to explain it for you. NEway, my fave bands are New Find Glorious, Complicated Plans, Bad Charlice, REdcard, Sensory Failing, Army of Seniors, The Noises, The Casuals, and mony athers. Aw, sluts!!!!!! Man, I wish I had seen them walking about at Warped Tour. I saw Oliver at the beginning and he looked familiar because I had heard good things about IMA Robot and been to the site maybe once.. but I didn't know what band he was in at the time. I can't wait to see these guys play again! I'll def hit em up with some great conversation. Heck yeah! They are the bee's knees to say the least.

thank you, and thank you! ima robot was AMAZING at warped tour! i also saw them when they came to vancouver about a year ago when they opened for the white stripes... that was the begginning of my love affair for ima robot! i heard their first song (std dance, which is 1 million times better live than on the ep) and it was love at first sight... er... sound!;)

Most def. It woulda been cool if they played later at night, but when I saw them it was early.. so I didn't experience the whole lighting part. Sounds rad.

Me and my gf were there too. It wasn't a large crowd but IMA Robot was still by far my favorite part of the whole day. At that point I hadn't heard of them before but it was a great introduction. I wish they would come back out to this area again.
