How, and when did you get the chance to lick Bowie's guitar?WarholDisciple - 9-4-2004 at 09:51 PM
I posted it as a seperate topic... it was most deserving of one, most def.
So more music then:
Sublime
Third Eye Blind - self titled is my fave... most of the time
The Beginning Stages of... The Polyphonic Spree
Big Audio Dynamite
I feel the need to mention both David Bowie and Jonny Greenwood again.
Blind Melon - Nico
Morrissey - anything!
Men at Work - Business as Usual
Oasis - (What's the story) morning glory? and Heathen Chemistry
THE SOUNDS! - Living in America
Grandaddy - SumdayJunoRedneck - 9-4-2004 at 09:59 PM
I was listening to Sumday when I read that post. Just thought I'd mention that. I prefer Sophtware Slump though. I'm not a big Sumblime fan
and I think I might be the only person in Santa Cruz who doesn't like them. Oh well.
To buy:
Pinback - OffcellWarholDisciple - 9-4-2004 at 10:18 PM
I must say that is quite rebellious of you to live in Santa Cruz and not like Sublime... more power to ya!! I fuckin love that band - definitely crazy
about them. Also, I actually agree that Sophtware Slump is better than Sumday, but Sumday first came to mind because I listened to it more recently -
pretty cool that you were listening to it when you read that. I love it when crazy shit like that happens to me.EvilMotivator - 9-5-2004 at 02:12 PM
Seriously Juno, how can you live here and not like Sublime? You so crazy...
So how did you come up with $350 credit at Amoeba? That's pretty sweet.poobs - 9-5-2004 at 05:08 PM
Any one of the Dead Milkmen's albums..WarholDisciple - 9-5-2004 at 06:41 PM
The Dead Milkmen are awesome!! I recently found one of their Cds at THE 99 CENT STORE!! It was really awesome, but sad at the same time. Sad to see a
great band like them selling for just $0.99. I always find good CDs there. And they aren't used either. Man, I love that store!Phobiac - 9-6-2004 at 11:01 AM
traded in a ton of old cd's. most of my stuff is ripped to my computer. don't know if that's legit or not.

Hot Hot Heat is one of my most favourite bands. Definitely the bee's knees my friend.Neuwave - 9-7-2004 at 12:39 PM
Damn, I haven't been around in a while, and missed this. I'm going to have to check out some of these suggestions. I pretty much go with
anything Sea Cap usually suggests, because he's got mad tastes in music. But right now the only thing on my "to buy" list is
"Pascal". I've been hearing them a lot on college radio, and it's all been killer. Here's a link I found:

I just got the new Bjork cd!! Whoooo!!!seacaptain - 9-7-2004 at 04:01 PM
I forget what I suggested though!
Oh right, I just looked. I definitely think most Bot and Beck fans would dig Logan's Sanctuary... it's a new wave-y soundtrack with Roger
Manning and Jason Falkner and Tony Hoffer and if I remember right, JMJ is on there too. Cool stuff.
I said Mojo Nixon for laughs, though I dig him -- "Destroy All Lawyers" is a great song! Hehe.
Can, of course, are legends to the highest degree...Phobiac - 9-8-2004 at 11:49 AM
Crazy labor day weekend and never made it to Amoeba. I'll try to make the trek up there this Sunday.
The good thing is that I have many more suggestions to go by now.
I'll also be beefing up my DVD-A collection.

You've inspired me to do some shoppin too. I stopped by Rhino records in Claremont last night to see if they had any "Pascal", but
they didn't. I ended up grabbin' Best of Guided By Voices, and Best of MC5 which I've just been turned on to, but I think I'm
stoppin' by Amoeba tonight to find Pascal. I must have that now that I am in the mood to buy.seacaptain - 9-8-2004 at 05:00 PM

Let me know whay you think of this please..
Phobiac - 9-23-2004 at 08:39 PM
Well Mr. DylerPlummer;
I've only listened to the first track a pulled it out as her vocals were just killing me.
Think Eddie Brickell and then raise the vocals up 10 octaves and add a splash of Jewel. I'll give the other tracks a listen and let you know
what I think.
Thanks for all the other recs by the way.
