"Guerilla" Concert-Going

Has anyone done this?

By "guerilla", I mean going to a show just about every night.

This is the week for me. I'm seeing Muse tomorrow, Franz Ferdinand on Wednesday (plus the after-party), and Delays/Hope of the States on Friday!

Then next week, I'm seeing The Bravery on Thursday, and The Libertines on Friday.

After next week, I will have gone to over 30 concerts since January! :o:D

Good thing I have an easy schedule! :yes:

This is nuts. you´ll end up deaf! and gee, you must have a lot of cash ....i wouldn´t like to attend more than one show per week (these days i go to shows like only every 3 months or like that coz no nice bands are playing Munich) ..it just ain´t special and "a night to remember" anymore if it´s an overflow....

Haha, I agree that I am nuts!

I really don't have a lot of cash at all. I had to work and save up for it. Plus, since I'm getting through school by financial aid and loans, any money I get (I get it from my dad for child support) for now is spending money (but eventually I will have to pay back the loans). Plus, none of the shows cost over $25. A few only cost $8. I guess that's where I spend all my money. I don't buy clothes or shoes as often as most people.

I go through those phases. Basically, I am signed up to win concert tickets at nearly every radio station in town, plus when you go to some of the shows, they give you free passes for others. It's a vicious cycle. A vicious cycle of excellentness!

the most hardcore i did was RHCP on the Wednesday, Finch on the Friday then Something Corporate on the Sunday.

Thats not that hardcore though.

I saw them in New York this August. I didn't think they were shit, though. Just different from what I expected. I've never seen them with Pete, but you could tell that something was lacking from their performance. I only hope that one day they will play together again. *sigh*

I think I seen Dashboard Confessional, The White Stripes, and Ima Robot all in the same week, or it was someone else, i usually have money to go but no one to go with.

I used to go to shows quite a bit, but I can't afford it anymore..It seems like shows come in waves though..All of a sudden, Beck, Ima Robot, Bjork, Blur, and the Flaming Lips will tour at the same time and shit..Well, maybe not all of them, but you get my drift..:duh:

saw them open for Blur back in May 2003 too.

Spoke tp Alex too, where he told us about the secret show at the Barfly but we couldnt go. otherwise that would be five!

Dirty Ho opened for Marilyn Manson last year in Munich and his fans hated her to guts...

i´ve seen Iggy live in `99 ...small club, front row and touched his chest. i´m not crazy for him but i just had to. he has such an interesting chest.
