Virgin operates .com, we're the fansite.

My favorite part of the studio "Doctors" is the weird computer-voiced little girl chatter thrown into the middle. And I also like that it's a lot quicker than any of the live versions. Slick production.

Okay I've listened to it a dozen more times and all these cool sections keep jumping out. Reasons I love this track (despite being so-so on it after hearing it live a few times).

1) It has a cool 80s John Hughes vibe, like it could be played by the Psychedelic Furs at the Pretty In Pink Prom

2) Alex's voice has been recorded really really well. Plus, he's so crisp on the recording, never heard his lyrics so well.

3) The bass part at the end comes through very crisp at the end, too. The production on this thing is top-notch. Maybe I'm so used to listening to muddy live recordings that I forgot how cool all these individual parts were.

4) Joey goes off at the end, during the last verse! He builds to that crescendo and unleashes.

Great track!

Fun track! I do agree about the '80's sound - it sounds a bit Devo-y to me, with that great sort of straight ahead rock n roll, but at the same time, very tongue-in-cheek about it.

ha- great call about the 80's john hughes vibe- def a cross bw 'the breakfast club' and rocky horror picture show!! (thats a compliment:) )
