Just thought I'd mention this because I finally got around to getting the second series from Best Buy this week, sinking part of my paycheck into
them (got the employee discount though, yeeeeah). I originally saw the screening for the series at Universal in September, and thought the edition
was a great idea. Instead of focusing on one artist and all of their videos, they make the "director" a center of attention --- so, for the
film nerds lik me, you get to hear guys like Mark Romanek and Jonathan Glazer talk about filmmaking, techniques, concepts, and interaction between the
artists and directors. The Romanek and Beck section is pretty funny, but the Rivers Cuomo bit is unbeatable.
Anyone else have some of these, from the first or second edition?

I´ve seen the one of Spike Jonze, Chris Cunningham and Michel Gondry. Great selection! Complete with thick booklet.
I particularly enjoyed the menu of the Gondry DVD...features him playing drums hitting his (? i suppose) kids who are in the drums with the drum
sticks. And on the Spike Jonze DVD it was the first time i noticed that in the gorgeous Fatboy Slim "Praise You" video at the end --usually
cut out in music tv-- there are
people talking to the "lead" dancer,
Spike Jonze himself and in the background
there is noone but Norman Cook
walking by looking bewildered into the
camera like he was just some curious pedestrian walking by. oh god, how i
love the Chemical Bros. video for
"Elektrobank".
