Beck has a new song up on his Myspace and his new website launched..The song is on there as well..I had issues with it just typing in www.beck.com, but when someone on another forum gave me this link, I typed in staging.beck.com/index.html and it seemed to work..I know others
have had that problem so I wanted to give a heads up..

screw Flash(tm). the worst programme there is. but the new site is FRICKIN NICE even though it takes my note book AGES to load......grrrrr. very
beautiful, i assume the new layout is by Moving Units - Truckīs company? i hope it is. some things should remain the same.
poobs - 11-23-2005 at 09:13 AM
You can't tell that Truck had nothing to do with it? I think it sucks, personally..It's some new company..I don't know..I'm very
disappointed..
corkey16 - 11-23-2005 at 12:09 PM
Isn't there a new remix album coming out too?
7cut - 11-23-2005 at 12:36 PM
yep, "guerolito" but itīs sorta delayed a little.
seacaptain - 11-24-2005 at 08:23 AM
Ya, Truck is gone. Don't credit him for that terrible site.
7cut - 11-25-2005 at 01:02 AM
I love Truck. I miss him.
TRRRRUUUUUCK! I wrote a
song for him...........

i love the acceptance speech they did...

oh poobs, remember the visual stimuli days? truck is on it as well...on the third album page..
http://visualstimuli.movingunits.com/
btw. WHY do you think the new site is that horrible? except for the little spelling errors and that it takes some time to upload. the general layout
and idea is nice i think... (but i miss the motorcycle gang from the very old beck.com and of course zee BBS)

Well, I do think the new site is very pretty to look at
But that's all it is, the content is completely lacking
7cut - 11-25-2005 at 11:44 AM
True dat. Itīs a bit of a superficial
artist page - the total counterpart of imarobot.net
let me put it like that: whereas the
old Beck.com felt like a warm and
comfy youth hostel with old feathery leather couches and a nice warm
fireplace the new Beck.com comes
across like a giant plaza hotel which
falls apart when youīre entering for
you realize itīs never even been a
real thing, just painted on cardboard.
oh well.

Has anyone listen to the new Beck remixed cd yet? They got it up now on his myspace site. Sounds good.

ashamed to say no.
but somehow it doesnīt get me
that excited and i donīt even think
iīll get it at all....just listen to it or
will download some tracks maybe.

seacaptain - 12-27-2005 at 10:42 PM
Beck has 3 new songs---all Nick Drake covers, no less---streaming up on beck.com now.
7cut - 12-28-2005 at 05:22 AM
Didnīt know he was as fond of
Nick Drake as Graham Coxon was.
Or even didnīt know he was fond
of him at all.

seacaptain - 12-28-2005 at 09:12 AM
Of course he is
Have you heard Sea Change? Beck has compared it to Nick Drake numerous times, and everyone thinks "Round The Bend" is a rip off or tribute
of "River Man"

errrm, no. honestly iīve never taken
any time for Nick Drake. i am not too
down with moody music, music to get
depressed to. i get influenced too easily,
that is my mood.that doesnīt mean i listen to "shake yer booty", happy stuff all the time (by no means!!!) but itīs just certain stuff
brings me down, and that is bands like Radiohead and various song writers. And my least favourite Beck album is "sea change". i like
"paper tiger"
and i like "the golden age" but canīt
get warm with the rest of it...too down.
seacaptain - 12-29-2005 at 10:08 AM
i can understand that
7cut - 12-30-2005 at 05:13 AM
yeah but i feel like iīm missing
something if i donīt check such
stuff out. and at times itīs fun
to sit around, listen to depressing
music and be like "woo poor me".
moment, thatīs a guilty pleasure
of mine then. maybe i should give
Nick Drake a chance.
