1999 Very Not OK, Underdogs, Drowse

I posted about this awhile back and then deleted the posts. Long story short, I found an old Ima Robot demo CD in a dollar cut out bin not too long ago. Here is the information:

I'm not sure, but I think it might be from before Olly even joined the band.

I'm considering B&Ping CD-R copies to the first 5 people who ask, but keep reading.

B&P stands for "blanks and postage" and it means you send me a blank CD-R and a self-addressed postage-paid envelope. I burn the CD to the CD-R and put it in the envelope you included, and if you did everything right you get the CD-R in the mail probably within a couple weeks. If you "forget" the postage you will not be getting a CD in the mail. The whole point of the B&P is my not having to go to the post office. If you neglect to follow the rules it will be no one's fault but your own when you do not get a CD.

There is a restriction that I can only B&P to people within the United States (because you cannot buy U.S. stamps outside the U.S.).

I have some requests of the people that I will be sending copies to. Read these carefully.

1) Share with others. I will only be sending out 5 copies; after that it will be up to you to share this amongst yourselves. If you are one of the people I send it to, be prepared to send it in turn to at least one other person (not immediately, just at some point).

As far as sharing goes:

2) Only share CD-R copies. If you want to rip a copy to your computer for personal use or for backup, I do not care, but do not share those files under any circumstance. Either set up B&Ps or be prepared to deal with the post office.

2a) I don't care what the excuse is, do not send these files over MSN/AIM/etc., do not upload them anywhere on the internet (including yousendit.com), absolutely under NO circumstance allow them to end up on Kazaa, Soulseek, or any other P2P program.

3) Only share with posters who have 60+ posts on this board. Why? So every asshole and their mother doesn't have a copy. This is a pretty unique little gem here. Unlike all the other crap MP3s floating around we actually know where these songs came from and I would like to keep it that way.

4) Don't put these songs in My Monkey On Ice. The reason for that is because it would obviously break all the other rules!

Is this something that people would be interested in? It's a little more work than I'm sure some of you are used to (damn internet kids, heh), but I am very serious about these rules.

I know I'm being a bit of a tease here, I just want to make sure people understand and agree with those rules before I share anything. Don't PM me just yet, and don't worry if you aren't one of the first five because unless I somehow end up sending it to 5 total assholes, everyone who gets it is agreeing to in turn send it to someone else (i.e. you).

Correct! I'm sure there are some big Ima Robot fans who don't use the internet much. In this case, they're shite outta luck.

If anyone tries to guilt trip you guys into burning them copies, just tell them to get in touch with me and I will consider trading with them. I'm always interested in live recordings and out of print music, Ima Robot related or not. Occasionally I even give schtuff away free (like, er, now). Basically my point though is that the only person I don't mind breaking those rules is me ;).

Keep in mind that a lot of times people with interesting stuff hoard it because they don't want it ending up on Kazaa, so this is something of an experiment. If it goes well...maybe some other people will crop up with other fun rarities. And even if they don't I think it'll be interesting to have something for just the dedicated posters here.

Hmm, so I have only received one package so far (I forget whose it was...Lisa something? Did that ever get to you?). Classes start up again...well, tomorrow. So if you want to get this CD in a reasonable time you may want to try and get your B&P materials to me in the next week or so.
