THAT IS IT!
THE STROKES and producer NIGEL GODRICH have parted company.
The NYC group had previously announced they would enter the studio with the Radiohead, Beck and Travis producer for initial sessions for the follow-up
to ‘Is This It’.
However, the band’s manager has said that the pairing just "wasn’t meant to be", and the Strokes will now work with Gordon Raphael, who worked on
their debut.
"All parties involved had a lovely experience and Nigel and the band really did get on famously," manager Ryan Gentles told Billboard. "It just wasn't
meant to be in the studio, I suppose."
Gentles previously said the second album will probably include songs previewed at the Reading and Leeds festivals last year, including 'You Talk Way
Too Much' , 'The Way It Is', 'I Can't Win' and 'Meet Me In The Bathroom', and will also include previously unheard tracks.
