"Dynomite," the first track off Ima Robot's self-titled debut album, is maybe the most explosive song to come along since Blur's "Song 2," which makes the fact that the album's second incendiary track is titled "Song #1" even more ironic. Following this one-two punch proves to be a little tough, but with an L.A. glammed-up sense of style, best evidenced on the hedonist anthem "Dirty Life," Ima Robot proves to be the most accessible, and listenable, of the current generation of spazz-out synth rockers. Make sure to listen all the way through for the album's bonus track, "Black Jettas," which laments the terror, often overlooked in the usual breakup song, of the paranoia associated with seeing an ex's car." -- Eric Mitts
