From The L.A. Weekly:

November 17

Junior Senior, Ima Robot, Steadman at the Troubadour.

"The Lisa Frank–style rainbow-fantasy cover art of Junior Senior’s D-D-Don’t Stop the Beat might give ya an idea of the vibrant, cheekily eclectic mix of wiggle rock and disco-pop inside, but if you think you’ve got this Danish duo pegged by its mega-hit, “Move Your Feet,” think again. The single blends Wham, the Beastie Boys and Fatboy Slim (who’s a fan) into one mighty yummy dance-happy milkshake, and the animated Atari-game-like video is a hoot, but this fun-lovin’ odd couple (Junior’s skinny and straight, Senior’s heavy and homo) are just as influenced by the Cramps and Nancy Sinatra as they are by the above-mentioned groovesters. Check out campy cuts like “White Trash” and “Shake your Coconuts.” Ima Robot have a similarly schizo approach, with glam, new wave and post-punk lubing their arty space-rock mechanics, while the U.K.’s Steadman is on a totally different plane, crooning majestic and heartfelt mop-top pop."
