Lush.. I used to know miki and Emma well .Saw Lush quite a few times but to be honest they weren't really my cuppa tea i just used to go cos they were very nice people (Chris R.I.P).. I prefered the band they were both in before which was called the Rover Girls.. In the early eighties they wrote a fab fanzine called "Alphabet soup" which was very gothy.. Bump into Miki once in a blue moon and did see Emma every so often but haven't for a while...

Next time you see them, tell them that someone in LA loves them very much (to the max). :)

They were even featured on a Volkswagen Passat commercial back in the day.

I'm pretty sure IMA Robot is well on the way to joining that elite group of Volkswagen commercial songs with "Black Jettas".

The others were:

Lush
Stereolab
and a few more I can't think of right now.

I am familiar with stereolab. We have a 200 disc C.D. player and most of the discs are burned so it is hard to tell which is which. So we could have lush in there. Hmmm... let me ask my pops.

interesting little thread...they are quite an ambient pop band with very dreamy singing ...really like like 'Spooky' ...for one...used to cut the rest of the madness I'd listened to quite nicely... memorable song..."last Night"
