...it's surely everyone's truly favorite band that only really has one "hit", but before all that warner's spud stuff went down, the band to be known as DEvo laid down some pretty cooky robotery in the early years...one of my favorite cd's is the truly classic...DEVO hardcore vol. 1 (out of 2), available on Ryko. nearly 30 years ago!!! this band was really f'n it up and archived here are 15 cuts that unveil what would become devo'mania. classics like jocko homo and mongoloid make rare early appearances as well as (she didn't know I was a) midget, soo bawls and space girl blues..."dad pass the ketchup...clean that mess up...mess up...listen up."
