Bullets And Bread
And this is it
It
Spitfire takes the stage
A mess in paper clothes
Paper
She recalled the horrors of her youth
Now watch her close, her eyes
And lick the microphone
I know you are
But who am I…
To tell you more
Oh no
I love her
I love her
I cannot believe her
I want to deceive her
I love her to death
I need her so badly
I want her so madly
I leave her so sadly
She’s bullets and and and
Bread
Get me on the floor
Let me look at you sideways
A choice of your three doors
I choose that one that one
Ooh
Well leave me now honey
To a starving (mantra)
It looks like I could lose control
Of my world my world
I love her
I need her
I leave her for dead
I want to
Believe her
She’s bullets and bread
I love her
I love her
I cannot believe her
I want to
Deceive her
I love her to death
I want her
So badly
I need her
So madly
I leave her
So sadly
She’s bullets and and and
Bread
Yeah ooh
Aw
Yeah ooh
Aw
I want her
I need her
I leave her for dead
I will not
Believe her
She’s bullets and bread
Now the best of you has been taken by me
Moonlit fights tore apart our better plans
I told you once
Only jokers get to laugh
Ha ha ha
I’ll tell you now
But who am I
To turn
You more
Now get out on the floor
[commence disco dance party]
Get out on the floor
Chika ow!
I love (the way you) scandal you heard it from me
I’m dancing!
Ha ha what—
Ah ah ah
This scandal, I heard it from you
Wait a minute

Okay, this is definitely my favorite of all their songs.
I read an article today about Joy Division, and it included this bit that brought to mind IMA Robot:
"Like the Cure after them, Joy Division knew how to put pain into pleasure, and the rhythm of the song [Love Will Tear Us Apart] is almost cheery. It
was music you could fuck to, dance to, slit your wrists to."
I would put Bullets and Bread into the song category described above, as well as Alive, Loaded Love, and Full Clip Over The Edge. Their music is so
listenable, in part, because of this schizoid character--it evokes a layering of emotions that make the songs much more dimensional than a lot of
what's out there today.

Uh, BTW I did not put that asterisk in fuck there, I bet there's something in the software that edits out the f-word.

i wish i could hear this song. is it available anywhere?
by the way that is SUCH a great description of a lot of imar's stuff i've heard. so true, it has 3 dimensional depth.. i think
that's part of what makes it so addictive.
