The Faker
Oh yeah
It’s just me and this girl
Girls like you and me don’t part
Wrap me up in velvet heart
Oh no
Just another one-night stand
Give me head or (be goddamned)
(Drowning) through barbiturate
Real rich people don’t get sick
Oh no
Just another one-night stand
Love me but don’t hold me hand
Love makin’
It’s hard fakin’
It’s true
But it’s just for you
(My loves)
It’s my ultimate thrill
It’s my (many love)
That’s my ultimate (pill)
It’s my
(My loves)
It’s my ultimate thrill
It’s my (many love)
That’s my ultimate (pill)
Ah ah
Oh
Can’t be too careful these days
Marlene, April
They got AIDS
Oh no
Can’t win ‘em all the time
Give it give it to me
Gonna lose my mind
Had a good man
He went bad
Had a bad man
He wasn’t that good
Oh no
What’s a poor girl to do
Lookin’ around for the perfect (spill/skill)
Love makin’
It’s hard fakin’
It’s true
When it comes to you
(My loves)
It’s my ultimate thrill
It’s my (many love)
That’s my ultimate (pill)
It’s my
(My loves)
It’s my ultimate thrill
It’s my (many love)
That’s my ultimate (pill)

>(Drowning) through barbiturate
I'm not sure -- I kind of hear a "blue" in there.
Drowning blue barbituate / Brown and blue barbituate? Somethig like that.
>(My loves)
>It’s my ultimate thrill
>It’s my (many love)
>That’s my ultimate (pill)
>It’s my
???
It's my alternative
It's my many loves
That's my alternative
It's my
goes throughout the song, I think. That first line throws me. But "alternative" seems to fit the song -- alternative lifestyles / many loves / AIDs,
etc.
>What’s a poor girl to do
>Lookin’ around for the perfect (spill/skill)
Stew? Rhymes with "do." Stewoo will like that one.
This is a great tune...

Darn you, Seacaptain! I'm one step behind, still checking out your interp of the Loaded Love Lyrics, I think you're right on on those anyway.
Perfect stew? Maybe. It's either a t or a p after the s. They're too close of phonemes to really tell. It's enough to make a ventriloquist burn
his dummy.

That's possible -- it does sound like an Ima Robot lyric, for sure.
BTW what's the name of the guy who writes the lyrics/sings?

Alex Ebert, he has an art gallery in L.A. in addition to pulling lead singer duty for the band.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure you got it right Poobs. That's the way I always hear it, but then again I though that Ages Of Ruin had a lyric of "I think
you've gone fish'in" when it was acutally "I think that you have vision" or something to that effect.
