So I was just listening to the radio station I love to hate, The Current (they play Soul Asylum seemingly every hour on the hour) and it was announced that Walt Mink is regrouping for a show at the local Triple Rock venue June 17th.

The reason this is interesting is that this used to be one Joey Waronker's band way back when in his days as a Macalester student in I think the early 90s... Walt Mink is still discussed in glowing terms here in the big Minneapple-- should be a fun show, especially if Wonder Boy is going to make an appearance. Anyone know anything?

I downloaded a pile of old Walt Mink tapes that had been mp3'd and put on some website somewhere (it was awhile ago, I don't remember where). A lot of cool songs, they could really rock.

Is Joey going to do the show, did they say?

Still trying to find out, though according to the official Walt Mink site, some guy named Rob is playing drums.
