Local venue to host exclusive Ima Robot performanceThe Detroit Bar in Costa Mesa announced last week that neo-New Wave band Ima Robot will put on an
exclusive gig at 10 p.m. May 10 at the Westside bar.
The band evolved from a hip-hop group into a rock band and is signed to Virgin Records. The band's self-titled debut album features a tribute to Joy
Division's "Love Will Tear Us Apart" as well as a song based on founding member Alex Ebert's girlfriend.

The Detroit Bar is owned by the Memphis Group, which also operates Memphis Café in the Sobeca district. It is also open for corporate and private
