L.A.
Yep, I'll be back for all of July and August, and I plan on giving my eardrums a workout during that time. Oh since I just remembered now, anyone
want to head to the Knitting Factory the 21st of June to see the band "!!!" play? I read a review of them and they sound intriguing. Every review
mentions that you pronounce their name "chk chk chk."

Do You Realize?
Do You Realize?
How awesome are The Flaming Lips? This was such a great show. Oklahoma hometown boys Starlight Mints opened it up and although I missed more than half of their set due to the heavy traffic on Sunset, what I did hear I liked.
Check the out. Liz Phair heated up the crowd with about an hour long set. Wayne would sneak out onto the stage every now and then and rile up the crowd.
The Lips. Last time I saw them was at a secret show at the Knitting Factory in Hollywood; very small venue. I didn't think that the energy that was
in that little room could be transferred over to the larger Palladium, but I was wrong...completely wrong. There was more energy. Two thousand plus
people just having a blast and dancing around like mad folk. It was pure insanity. Balloons, Confetti, Paper Hearts, Dancing Stuffed Animals and
Jesus.
The whole Palladium sang Happy Birthday to Sara, Patrick and Breeze (I think I'm forgetting one) which was just too much fun. What a night for those
guys.
If you haven't been to a Lips show, make it to on next time their circus roles into town. Christina Ricci was there, she knows.

Since Jesus didn't make an appearance at any of the Beck/FL shows (at least he was a no-show on stage ), I need to know if J. was dancing with the animals. :saint:

Jesus was walking around before the show buying ice cream from the ice cream truck and wearing x-mas lights on his head..Haha! And, yes, he was also
on stage dancing and singing alongside some 9 year old kid dressed like a soldier or something..:o Gosh darn, that was the most entertaining show
ever!! I personally thought Liz Phair was boring, but that's ok..The Starlight Mints were pretty sweet and by the time The Lips came on, I was about 4
rows from the front..Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!! :D:D:D I didn't partake in singing Happy Birthday cuz those people were liars!! How convenient that
you're in the front row on your birthday and Wayne is going to sing to you..Hmmm.. But, hot damn, fantastic show..I'm still on a high from it..Or maybe it's the
Nyquil hangover..:duh::D

Phob, do you remember which song they sped up? I remember I was blown away by the faster version cuz it's much slower on the album, but I don't
remember which song it was!!!
