Another nice review of the EP can be found at www.kevchino.com:

7 out of 10 - Very enjoyable.

"Does anyone miss Oingo Boingo? Then I have a group for you! Ima
Robot is kind of an alt-rock supergroup comprised of members of Becks touring band and REMs last touring drummer. Together with singer Alex Ebert - this five piece band makes some fine eighties influenced pop-rock.

The opening cut "12=3 (Here Comes The Doctor)" immediately reminded me of Oingo Boingo. Maybe it was the singers delivery or the nervous rock sound that brought me back to that other L.A. band. "Black Jettas" is a funny song about seeing your ex-girlfriends car everywhere you go. "Sex Symbols On Parade" is short punky-pop ditty.

The crowning achievement of this set is "The Beat Goes On". If you put "Warsaw" by Joy Division and "No One Walks In L.A." by Missing Persons in blender- this song might come out. What an infectious pop song. The chorus is pure pop heaven! I assume this EP is a teaser for a yet to be released full length CD. My initial response is positive. Bring back some of that L.A. new wave pop sound."
