that's alot of "The's"!

What a surprise I got when I found that the press had mucked up what day was what! Ima Robot played READING not leeds on the saturday, same day as Beck, so I got to see both! The 'bot were great, Alex got heckled for being ugly ('You're uglier that my wife', Alex replied 'she's cheating on you', Justin's bass wasn't set up properly or something for the first song and then he got going. The set was clean and crisp, I can't remember the order but, Black Jettas was last, great! Also A is for action, Lets Talk Turkey was dedicated (in a way) to the heckler, Dynamit (sp) was great, Dirty Life was played, a song I didn't recognise, um.....Song 1 was played as the opener.

Overall I though the band (of the 9 I saw) were the most professional (better than Beck's current backing band of clowns), and the most uplifting and exciting!

I am so glad you were able to see them! Sounds like that heckler was dealt with by Alex in the most effective way. So what was the crowd like? Had people heard of the EP?

Cool that Black Jettas was played last--usually they go with the 12=3 / Here Come The Bombs ending but if the EP is known in the UK, I would expect people would be waiting for Black Jettas.

obviously they were either, jealous, drunk, or downright being sarcastic, because I remember showing some of my video from the shoot to my friend, and the first thing he said was, "A pretty-boy huh?", and I'm like, "Yeah, he probably gets more tail than an FBI informant."

I love that British sense of humor.

You gotta love the connection with the crowd!

A couple of people in the crowd had heard of the 'bot, badges were thrown into the crowd by Justin and people scrabbled for them, overall I think they were very well received, sadly they were on the smallest stage but had around 400 people watching by the end. They didn't play 12=3 to my surprise! Joey's drumming was spot on!

But what's with Beck's backing band....??

Becks backing band are terrible, period (thought I'd due some lingo), the bassist must hate Beck something terrible!
