Kevchino Review: 9 Out Of 10!

www.kevchino.com has awarded Ima Robot's debut 9 out of 10 stars. They've also been so kind as to name it their Album of the Month! Review follows:

Ima Robot
Virgin | 2003
Album (12 tracks)
9 out of 10 - Simply Amazing.

"What a promising debut! Ima Robot is comprised of a few members of
Beck's backup band along with some very talented friends. I reviewed their
initial ep about a month ago- and many of the new songs are even better.
Lead singer Alex Ebert has a quirky view of the world - which is very
refreshing. The music is an update of one might call "new wave". Think
of The Cars or Oingo Boingo and you might not be too far off. Everything
is there . The herky-jerky rhythms and great hooks.
"Alive" is one great song. No one can teach how to write choruses
like that. "Philosophofee" is another song that I have listened to over
and over again. Marvelous stuff. "Here Come The Bombs" main premise
is to buy their cd before the end of the world. I hope people do because
this debut deserves to be heard.
Ima Robot is a very L.A. band. They seemed to have captured that
feeling somehow. I can't imagine this band being from any other place. It
certainly isn't a deep singer-songwriter cd. That is very refreshing to
hear. A fun pop-rock group with great songs and marvelous playing-
how can you lose?"
