Beck makes his long awaited return to Australia this month and he’s backed by a stellar cast of musicians. Sticksman Joey Waronker (Smashing Pumpkins), who also plays with REM, Badly Drawn Boy and Elliot Smith; Chili Peppers’ Californication rhythm guitarist/keyboardist Greg Kurstin (Matthew Sweet, Sheryl Crow); bassist Justin Meldal-Johnsen, who, when not recording and touring with Beck, plays with AIR, Tori Amos or Macy Gray; and guitarist Greg Hormel, who features on the Grammy award winning Mutations, Midnight Vultures and Sea Change, and Tom Waits’ Mule Variation. Tickets to his second show, at the Palais on March 19, on sale now.
