The Lips are at the Roxy, same place as Yo La Tengo. It's a nice-sized club, especially for bands who you'd think might play somewhere a little bigger. I've seen Sonic Youth, Jon Spencer, and Clinic there.

Eh, I like the Stripes just fine in the recorded format but perhaps I am in the minority when I say that their live performance isn't a must-see. I am actually planning on skipping them at Coachella. But the other three shows sound terrific--I am going to see if the Lips are coming through Mpls. right now...

Yea I agree completely re: the Stripes, and that's exactly why I said I was planning on the other three. I have one live Stripes bootleg, and it just doesn't seem to be different enough. I'd like to see them, but not when I have to make a choice...

Yipes--the marathon is Monday April 21. Good thing you're on record about not going to the Stripes April 20th, we're getting some grub that evening with you.

Hmm, Jack & Meg or Lara & Kyle. Who will dress in better matching red outfits?

It's really hard to carry off the red pants look, so I will defer to Phobiac for that one.

Last night I went to see the Talib Kweli / Common show, it didn't get out until 2 IN THE MORNING so I'm skipping class today to recuperate. The free ticket handout this time was to see George Clinton and P-Funk April 1! Pretty choice!
