Music Rights
hey whats up all.
Im wondering whos id talk to to find out where i can get music right for imarobot. See the thing is im making a small aggressive inline video and i
want to use one of there songs in it and i dont want to get sued so im asking around so i can find out where i can get rights and if they cost
anything.

I have have some experience with this. Talk to the record company. Bands will tell you that you can use their music, but legally its still illegal.
Usually they will only wan't a credit for it, but sometimes they want you to pay. When I was making a short film with some people, one of the
songs in it was from the matrix or something, they wanted alot of money from us to use it(we still used it, but payed for 3 seconds of it and just
copyed it over and over and over...).

Yeah if you get the chance, do a search here in Discussion or it might have been in Releases and Recordings...but someone had asked the question and I
rooted out a contact email at EMI. It's there, somewhere.
