Amoeba In-Store Show Pics

Here's one from the show tonight...It's going to take me some more time to get my pics up on the board, but I was pleasantly surprised that others had already emailed me some of their pics. Here are some from --Ace:

Thanks for the photos!

The video footage turned out verrrrry well, if I do say so myself. Y'all are in for a treat. I'll try to compress it and send it along by the middle of next week.

Hurrah for Riff Raff and the tripod. Cannot wait to see the footage. Riff, I remembered today who your girlfriend bears a striking resemblace to: Amanda Foreman from Alias and Felicity:

So what was the show like? How many people were there? What songs were played?

I know I'm basically the only Ima Robot fan not in Los Angeles, so someone fill me in. :)

It was a fun performance. The stage was tiny, as you can possibly see from the pics. People were lined up in the record stack aisles, with only a small section up front for people to watch the show.

They played almost the same set as the KCRW performance, with the exception of A is For Action, which I was kinda hoping they'd get to--but when I heard the 12=3 / Here Come The Bombs transition, I knew they weren't going to get to it. STD Dance was played right after Black Jettas, and I'd say that section was likely the most well-received of the show.

We have an awesome pic of the girl whose lips are featured on the Dynomite single cover! Very cubist photo where she is holding the jewel case to her face so that it looks distorted...Phobes will have to put that one up when he gets back.

Of course, there's a bootleg of this one and we're going to put up some tracks soon.

12" Black Jettas Vinyl

Oh yeah, and Riff Raff picked up some inside information about the truly limited availability on those Black Jettas 12" vinyls that were sold at the Troubador show in June. Phobiac and I are guessing that under 100 were pressed.

The only way we know of to get one now is to log on to the digital street team site and enter the contest listed on the sidebar:

And when asked if the bot would be playing any real-deal venues in LA anytime soon, Justin replied "Welllllll.... there's a rumorrrrrrr...." and then hushed up quickly in fear of managerial reproach.

Interesting!
