No new songs.
The set was like Warped sets, but had Ages of Ruin in it.

It was a super show.
I'll explain it more when I'm not tired.
I also will have photos later.
anyone see the Unicorns. super stuff.
how about scotts new light blue drums, with the duck tape Ima Symbol on it. really as always I could go on and on, but need sleep. So many things went on... Tell you more later!

Sunset Junction was a pretty sweet show. Unfortunately, nothing new was played but they did sneek in Ages of Ruin, STD Dance.

It's been awhile since I've seen Ima Robot and I was amazed that Timmy the Terrors hair is almost as big as JMJ's!

Sweet crowd that was really down for Ima. So many people that I spoke to were there soley for Ima and this was not just around the Bates stage; everywhere...they really had a pull.

Other than that Sunset Junction was a fun time. If you haven't eaten at Stella Cafe you have to check it you out; really good and nice atmosphere; a little spendy. After that it was to some crazy party action at El Cid. What a cool bar El Cid's is.

Awesome night.

Here you go, more details from Autumn (now fully rested)…..

Well I got there about 3:30 (ran very late this time)
Went straight to the Bates stage where IMa would play.
Saw a bit of “starlite desperations” set. Then when the crowd moved out we went and got our spots. Front and almost center (if it wasn’t for the media guy right next to me)
On came “On the Speakers” put on a decent show, but my opinion might have been slightly altered by the fact I was going to see Ima Robot soon.
Then on came “The Unicorns”, who I also like a BUNCH.
As I waited for the unicorns to come on I had to sit in annoyance as I saw Alex and his girlfriend, Justin, every member from Hot Hot Heat (who weren’t there to play but I saw them all over later), the Unicorns and so on pas by walking in the crowd , unnoticed. But no I had to keep my oh so super spot so I stayed.
They put on a good show, crowd was ok for it but not much. Funny slogans as always. A few super rock star moves and a good show.
Then we waited for “Har Mar Superstar” the funny little man.
Steve from HHH would sit on the side stage to watch them play. As did Justin for a while. Scott setting up in back as they played.
Har Mar put on his show. He jumped into the crowd a few times, each time I was slimed by the film of sweat he had, leaving my hand smelling funny for quite some time.
And so on….

THEN the wait for IMa, Scott comes on and sets up as always. But he had some nice new light blue drums with a very well done Ima Symbol on it, which he made out of black duck tape. Oli then joins him and so on.
Then the crazy lady who had been announcing the bands all day comes out. Crowd freak out, enters Ima Robot. Looking very happy.
Leaving details out, it was a super show. Set list regular tracks, STD dance, ages …
Put on a good show. Tons of fans there. Alex eating lemons, licking amps, gracefully sliding off the stage front… the usual greatness. The boys being the boys and putting on a super show…. I had a blast…
Justin introduced songs as the trucker hat song, another as the thrift store shirt song.
Calling the show there romantic homecoming after a long tour… and so on.
Regular greatness.
I do believe Alex might have to retire his black pants with the IMA ROBOT on the back. They were looking quite torn up….
I got photos and so on… will post them up as soon as I can. (Whenever that might be)
After they were done I went side stage to chat with the boys. Got to say hi to all But Alex this time. Very super as always and such other stuff, very nice compliments by all…
After waiting forever for Ben Kweller (who was right by me as I chatting to Justin) to set up, who complained of how nothing was working right… I watched him play about ˝ his set and left for the over 2 hour drive home.

Geeze sorry all long review but I left out tons of stuff so It could have been worse, haha.

Well, Happysmilely pretty much said it all, so.... yeah. I did get to meet Alex's girlfriend. She was quite nice. I also had the very good fortune of talking to all the members. Such nice guys. Apparently, I made Justin's week... or so he told me. He really liked my shirt. Um... yeah. That's it. Oh, and I remember seeing a whole bunch of those people on polaroidscene.com. There were a couple of crazy mother fuckers there...

Ohh, I had a fantastic time, too, despite the relatively short set. I took position right after the Unicorns finished their set. I was able to get front row, but was definitley right of center (which is damn scary, politacally speaking). When the security guard noticed that my son could hardly see over the barrier, he let him sit in front in the little press run area. He (Sebastian) was happy that they played STD Dance because he's got the clapping down pat. He was also looking forward to Black Jettas because he loves that song, and I had told him about Alex's usual antics during it. I was glad to hear Ages of Ruin since the last time I heard that live was at the El Rey show.

Sebastian wanted to meet the band, particularly Justin and Alex, and get their signatures on his shirt, so we waited around a bit. I got a couple of pictures of him with Justin, who was just as incredibly kind and gracious with Sebastian as he is with an adult. Of course Alex took longer to venture out, but I'm glad we waited because I always like when he recognizes me and hugs me. Aww. I'm like a perverted old man. Anyway, Alex was surprised when I told him Sebastian was mine, but he too was so nice to him, and talked to him like an adult, but one he just had to bend way down to talk to. So I got a cute picture of me, Alex, and Sebastian that turned out well. (Evilmotivator, was that you I asked to take the picture of us?)

Anyway, it took us forever to get out the gates because people kept asking me if they could take a picture of Sebastian. I guess he's used to it by now, he's like a semi-professional "poser".

If I can locate a scanner today I'll work, I'll post the pictures. I'm not positive if we even have one anymore, so I may have to wait. Somehad had recommended a site to use for hosting pictures for free, so that I can link to it and post the pictures on the board. Does anyone remember? Isn't that the only way to get pictures to appear on this board?

Hap-smi, Why didn't I recognize you, didn't I meet you at the San Diego show?!

I figured that would be a problem. I was going to go, but I got kind of comfy @ a BBQ in Venice Beach.

Ya, the show was awesome. I saw happysmilely, but I got afraid to say hello. I didn't think you'd want me to. So don't think I was purposely ignoring you to be a bitch or anything. I guess I also saw Batcave, but I didn't know it was you until just now. That was EvilMotivator who took your picture. Alex's girlfriend was super nice. I probably talked to her the most. She had trouble saying my name, but once she learned it she said it a lot. She pronounced as "Keen-doll". My name's Kendall, by the way. We also took a crapload of pictures, and I guess we'll TRY to post them. We aren't very good with those kinda things. I would write more, but I just got back from my first day of school and am about to pass out. I'm not used to getting up so early. I shall ramble on more about this later, so be ready for that.
