i want something sailor-ish tattoed on my upper arm next week ...any ideas ????

No..Don't get a tattoo just to get one! My theory is, if it doesn't mean something special to you, then why brand your skin with it for the rest of your life? I only have 3, but they were all really thought out and I know I'll love them forever because they all have a special meaning for me..:duh: I don't know..It's just my opinion..

I have a tattoo on my arm(same area where alex has his) it has no real meaning. Its scissors and a dotted line(ya know, cut along the dotted line).

I can't wait to get a tattoo. I think I'm getting one soon, I just have to save up some money. I agree with Poobs, though. Make sure you're gonna like it forever. Or get whatever and you can laugh at it in ten years when you no longer like it.

my advice is to take a it a little slow at first and start off with something like this:

i'm getting a row of stars on my inside arm. they're not gona be filled in and theyre gona get smaller. it doesn't really mean anything, just thought it'd look nice!!! i always thought the ima robot I would look cool on the back of the neck, i might get that, but its really iffy to get a band tatooed cos although right now it feels like i'll love ima forever, in 20 years i might not

the meaning of 3p ...not "free pee" seacaptain ....it should have been the "ohm" sign. don´t ask me why i wanted the "ohm" sign on my shoulder when being 16 since i have no idea. i´ve never been buddhistic or spiritual....i was just a bit dazzed and a bit confused and the tattooer messed it up.

it looks cool. i love colorful tattoes, that girl from the von bondies had a purple sun with blue trees and a green sea, something like that, that was very nice.
