Ha, I am positively giddy right now. Just found a source that says The Song #1 single will be released in the UK, and have NOT ONLY Std Dance on it, but Ages of Ruin, as well.

I know this will put a smile on The Faker and Colforbin's collective faces.

So Phobiac says he got an email from the vendor, saying that this release was no longer available. I did not get the email. Wondering if it was a function of timing (I sent in order earlier) or release date/product change? Anyone know?

I ordered a week or so ago, and just yesterday got an email saying they don't have any. There was a copy on Ebay that I didn't go for because I thought my order had been accepted, but looks like I got faced. Anyone know where else to Get It? I Need It.

I was in on the bidding war for that one; $21 was the final price! The potential has been seen. Imagine that and the full cd is just eight bucks. No, I didn't win.

Cambridge Univeristy Radio reports that the single was released October 6th and arrived at their station the 11th. In the Head of Music's words, "This is a perfect 2.5 minute pop song as far as I'm concerned - it's too energetic and staccato to be simply pop, too straightforward to be art-rock but has too many pop sensibilities to be punk - it ends up being a marvellous mixture of all three. Great stuff."

OK, so I just went and asked JMJ if there was any plan for the b-sides to hit the US in a non-imported fashion... doesn't sound too optimistic:

I will venture to say right
now that there will be no release of that material outside of Europe and
Japan. Those are the only territories that go for that sort of thing; US
and Canada only release that stuff as an afterthought on collections.
