I can't describe the emotion given off from this verse. It's exactly what I needed in my life right now. So weird how the most euphoric experiences in life are so short.

You think so, "light of the lord?" I like that better than "lawn," if that's the case.

Though it wasn't, at first, Loaded Love has slowly become one of my favorite songs. I prefer the faster of the two recordings, myself. It's more spare and raw.

Yeah it's making more sense now too, because when you think about it. When the Sun is out, and you're exposed to the world you're inhibited, but when you *ya know* you abandon all boundaries, and you're a loaded gun. I dunno that's just my interpretation. The other sentiment that I love in this song is the sense of foreboding about this "Shauna" gal.

What a great name, don't know if she's real or not, but Shauna and Kendra (sorry Poobs) have always evoked the images of dangerous women for me.

You know where it might be coming from, wasn't that the name Ferris' sister gave the C****** S**** character at the end of Ferris Bueller's Day Off?

Backstory: When I was a little, impressionable kid, we're talking 4 or 5, I had this neighbor named Kendra who was really mean. She had long blonde hair and rode a bike with a BANANA SEAT and a RED FLAG on it. She would ride around the neighborhood on it, tormenting me. So I have always associated the name Kendra with rebellious behavior!

I do remember this girl Shauna that my friend in High School went out with. She definitely had a psycho side(to him), but I remember her being pretty cool to me. The only other Kendra I knew was in 4th grade in Inglewood. She was a black girl that I remember liking. She was cute, and the only reason she would be mean was if I was messing with her. I definitely remember her keeping me in check sometimes. She was a fast runner too that sometimes I couldn't get away, but don't get me wrong I was quick too, and I may have let her catch me occasionally.:D

I have mentioned this to Phobiac before, but when I'm singing that particular song, I have a chuckle over the thought that Spike and Tina are the lead singer's parents.

I've been wondering this for awhile, every time I hear the song. Where's this Beacon Hill he's referring to? There's a famous one here in Boston...is the lyricist from there or something? Or is there another one? When are they going to play here?

I also assume that it is the Boston location, as that is the only Beacon Hill that I know about. The only shows I know about are Los Angeles. I\'ll tell the guys that there is a request for a live show from Beacon Hill.

Finally we can put to rest the notion that Alex sings "When we fuck we're a loaded gun we are BAD CATS" in this song. Gavin, that was a seriously twisted misinterpretation of the lyrics. It's "abandon," according to Alex himself (who also thought "bad cats" was totally out there).

I know. It sucks. This stuff isn't circulating around, and the label would have our heads if it did...but for the L.Aers, I always thought it would be s'wheat if Tim did a club gig with Alex or something and spun ALL the old demos in during the night...there has to be a use for them, really they are too good to only be heard by the few people that have them.

Alex has said that the construction of them, musically, leaves a lot to be desired. But I think that originality and iconoclastic design is their charm.
