I watched a little on TV before going out. Seemed OK, for the most part. The lineup in Philly was pretty bad. In fact, London seemed to be the only lineup worth anything, imo.

I downloaded Pink Floyd's set. It was pretty good too, nothing amazing, but wow, it's unbelievable they reunited. Their break-up was so bitter!

yeah, not too good. Pink Floyd were good. Ashcroft coming on and coming Bittersweet Symphony with Coldplay was good too. Apart from that i agree with Dyler

Oh, I guess I am in the minority- I had a great time all day Saturday! The coolest was watching it all online... aol had like, five of the cities all live streaming so you could see who you wanted. The MTV/VH1 coverage was so limited and lame because they cut away randomly and really interrupted the vibe of the day. Plus, i dont need them to talk to another dude in the crowd in Philly to find out that *surprise* he is AGAINST POVERTY. What a shocker.

So, I spent the whole day clicking between London(strongest lineup), Berlin, Rome and some Philly- I thought Green Day and Madonna BROUGHT IT- great performances. The Bittersweet Symphony surprise got me jazzed too. and I dont even need to mention how much I love my Duran Duran! (got to meet the band when IMA was opening, I really tried to act cool, but I think they saw through me :) ) Back to LIVE 8 tho- The US was lineup was mostly embarrassing.

oh, and pigging out on Pad Thai, donuts and margaritas made the day super-terrific.

Paula says: LIVE 8 = thumbs up
now, lets see what happens at the G8 Summit... c'mon Bush, dont be a prick.

okey-dokes, bye everyone! P.

I love The Rakes, one of my favorite new bands this year. At least, new to the U.S.

I don't really know if it actually did anything. Will it influence the G8? Probably not but we will have to wait and see. I saw a few of the leaders talk about it today and heard Bush say something that made sence and I agree with:o
