Slowly creeping up my favorites list.

it was one of my favrorites when i first heard it

Damn, just reading the lyrics will never get the same effect actually listening will. I love how there are two definite meanings and both are deeper than just reading the lyrics ever will let you get.

Although, you could think of this as a rant against sellout bands, it could also be a relationship and drugs not mixing too well. Alex has this girl who was last together with a drug addict and that kinda rubbed off on her one day. Alex, being the loving mofo he is, wanted to make things better but didn't want to risk losing her, so he tries to comfort her by doing drugs as well instead of trying to help her stop. And this whole plan goes straight to hell when he loses this awesome, down to earth person to this new empty shell of her instead and he's heading in the same direction but won't stop because he loves her. And the way she was once great and now is worthless and about to die is like a lot of great rockers once being amazing people til drugs took 'em and turned them into nothing and killing them.

At least, that's how I saw it. Maybe I'm just insane?
