Ugh..I don't think I could handle that..I was really considering becoming like a mid-wife or a labor/delivery nurse, but if I had to deal with a sick baby or anything, I'd die..I couldn't handle it..

Yea it's kinda hard being a Vet Tech because unlike a child when someone doesn't want to dish out the money to get their pet better you can't call child services. And it's not considered neglect because they "couldn't afford" something. It's just really shitty, and I hate it! I love my job but I'm like, if you aren't going to even try to make this dog better then why did you bring it in??

It's kind of like that in the horse world also, except for it's more extreme because horses are WAY more expensive then dogs. I've seen horses that are nothing but skin and bones and the "owners" said they didn't know anything was wrong with their horse. It makes me sick to my stomach to see horses that are suffering.
