One thing I never get from Alex Ebert is a sense of his songs/lyrics being contrived. Not sure if I can say the same here.

I actually dig her voice though...must be since I like the vocal sounds from Beth Orton, Cat Power, Christina Courtin...

Just to clarify, are you calling the elaborate nature of this Jade song a negative? Or are you just simply comparing the two styles of Jade and Alex?

I enjoy how different Alex's songs seem than any other music I listen too. So with this new Edward Sharpe album coming we know that a lot of other people in the band are having there songs featured in it, I hope it can be cohesive at the same time being right next to Alex songs.
