Franz Ferdinand
Franz Ferdinand is not only a cheesy old-fashioned German first name, but also an awesome band from Glasgow, Scotland. Anyone heard of them?
They're pretty hyped, I think - but it's more than right! They're as hot as Hot Hot Heat and have an incredibly danceable beat! Some
say it's already album of the year, but I wouldn't go that far, so it's album of the month for me .

...old news over here!!! At the start, people loved them (they have had a cover of NME already..) but now....the albums out, and its a bit
dissapointing. The two singles (Darts of Pleasure and Take Me Out) were really good. They are OK, but the best description I heard of them was
'.....The old backing tapes that The Rapture & Radio 4 thought weren't good enough to go on the album'!!!

I did last wednesday! That show was so excellent, you must go see them live! They played the whole album + three non-album tracks. Be
sure to be in the front row, the sound was sooooooo clear I couldnt believe it.
And they had fun playing!
I don't see why they're that hyped here and not over there, they are on covers of all the music magazines... (there were at
least 800 people at the concert).

No idea how it will be in the U.S.! I can only report how it was in Frankfurt: We had to wait for like one hour to get into the club. When we were in,
the other band (Kamerakino) was about to start playing, it was already very crowded, but we (me + two friends) managed to get directly behind the
front row - we stayed there then.
The audience was mixed, they were rather calm and interested than freaking out and pogo'ing. I think there were many who usually don't go to
concerts.

Yo Noise, I was totally going to post something about them cause I have heard some of their stuff and I love them. The fact that they are from Glasgow
is even better cause I love the way the speak. The songs that heard from them kind of remind me of the Clash during the Rock the Casbah era, and I
have to admit that I really it. I want to buy their album along with the Von Bondies and The Rapture and has any
heard of Kinky, they Latin, but their music is amazing, I have to see what they are all about...Anyhow, peace

...It took a little while to catch on to the skinny of these guys, but I'm really taken by their take on this 'romantic' rock
revival...all the PIL'isms that the raptures and !!!'s and Out Hud are doing is great, but not at the level of heavy that I'm sure
someone will get at...then again...the chicks don't always want the skinny boys to get too too heavy...and that's who the boys are seemingly
aiming to please. Dance hottie dance.
Take me out is probably one of the better singles I've heard in awhile...no contest on all this Strokes vs. BS....that is Franz really does it
right and let's on just enough to let 'em know ...they're smarter and rock harder.

If they don't stick bottles up their bums or have women in scary masks and strap-ons on stage, Dyler won't like them..
