I cant stand them either, the first 2 albums nearly made my ears bleed with pain. But I think now they realised how to manipulate the market,
realising that the people that used to buy there album have all grown out of there long shorts & baseball caps, and now have taken a different
approach. Ofcourse it wont sell as much as the previous 2, but it is an interesting listen

oooh...uhh...errr....maybe this should totally go in the 'guilty pleasures' file...but I have an ear and a history with metal... i will have
to honestly say the new Slipknop I've heard is...well...about as catchy as anything... I mean the riff is incredible and the vocals are so pro...
and I uhhh well have promised... eeeeyyyy... I basically have a laminate reserved for an Ozzfest show in July from friends in a band that is playing
right before SK on the 2nd stage and will...probably see the goons and the mayhem that ensues.
It's weird now...there are two bands on the tour from Richmond, VA who I have known for years and the lineup is
UN"F"NBELIEVABLE>>>
mainstage...Black Sabbath, Judas PRiest w/ Halford, Slayer, Black label society, Superjoint Ritual...etc...the second stage has TWELVE BANDS!!! and
they all kill to some degree... I gave one of the guys in one of the bands playing a ride home the other night and he told me I have to be there or
else... well if you insist... maybe i will stuff earplugs until SLAYER kill the stage...wait JUDAS PRIEST WITH ROB HALFORD!!!! ahhhhhhhhhhh...too
crazy...

I love Slip Knot ! "Wait & Bleed" caught my attention because my name is in it....I like their first 2 albums...I've only heard the
new song and video a couple of times...seems a little tame to me compared to the other two. ...I love some hardcore music...I love their masks and the
way the one drummer plays all crazy standing up. I like SuperJoint a bit as well....gotta love Phil A.....I saw the Black Sabbath reunion at OzzFest
once before and it was incredible! They had scenes from "Legend" playing on the big screen monitors while Ozzy sang Black Sabbath...the part
with the creepy devil......awesome! And SLAYER! YES!!!! Love Slayer. How can you not love "South of Heaven"....Oh my. They've been a
fav of mine since the early early days! .....That year was also Deftones, Rob Zombie, Static X, Godsmack and many others...great tour! I also have had
a liking of Cradle of Filth lately....I think because they have the coolest videos to their songs........Other guilty pleasures: GWAR! What an awesome
show they put on! Now there are some hardcore bands that are a bit too heavy for me: December, Black Dahlia Murder, Dying Fetus and stuff like that. I
can deal with Lamb of God a bit...they use to play a local club in Baltimore all the time when they were still called Burn the Priest. Alot of fun and
energy.
Oh you guys aren't into hardcore much I see....I've always had a soft spot for it as well.....OzzFests are so much fun! The people are
crazy, I laughed all day that day....there's hillbillies, mulletheads, crazy tatooed pierced people and yeas...old people with their kids!
It's great fun!!!...and you can sit on the lawn and smoke weed and no one cares...it's awesome!!!!!Oh Trevor...I'm so jaelous!

A few years ago back in 2001 i went to the States and i noticed Slipknot and System of a Down were playing amongst others in New Jersey.. I went along
and managed to smarm an access all areas pass by plying them with enough bullshit on the door.. Great gig.. System of a Down came over shortly after
that and done 3 nights at the Brixton academy.. Guess who went all 3 nights.. :D

the band I was talking about was ...Lamb of God... playing before slipknot...there's also a band called Darkest Hour that by all means look like
the classic ...'shouldn't you be working at a dairy queen/gas station'... well they sound like At the Gates and recorded their last
record in Norway... childhood friend plays bass and is surely one of the best ones on the tour...
