Prince - Do Not Miss
So the Purple One is on tour through September, and after seeing him a couple of nights ago, I urge you to do whatever it takes to make it to one of
the shows.
It's just classic Prince. Huge band. At least four sax players, one of whom is the great Maceo Parker. The arrangements of some his songs are
silly silly fun. And in the middle, Prince breaks it down with an acoustic set that includes brilliant renditions of Cream and Raspberry Beret.
It's your last chance to hear the old hits--at least that's what he's telling us. And he's making good on the decision to retire
1999. That is one you won't hear.
Tickets might seem expensive, but you can usually find some under face on eBay. You will not regret going. It is one of those once-in-a-lifetime
opportunities to hear a legend put on a show worthy of his mystique.

I have a friend in Tampa, Florida who just saw him and said it was incredible....she said he played for like 3 hours also....I was lucky enough to see
him on the LoveSexy Tour when Shelia E. was banging her little drum in the background...and it was definitely a fantastic show! I still love the
Purple Rain album....He's awesome live!

Damn. I so wish I could see him, but that arena shit just kills me. I need intimate settings. I heard he did an inexpensive show @ Staples a couple
months ago, which still is big. I would love to hear Beautiful Ones, Take Me With U, Controversy, and Head. Some things you just won't get in
life.

Controversy was also a highlight of the show for me. Staples wouldn't have been bad--he played the Excel Center here and visibility was great
all around.
