Currently burning up my cd player and car deck
is the new release from NYC 4some "the Chinese Stars", 'a rare sensation'. Ex-members of Six finger satellite and Arab on Radar,
this band lays down the death disco science better than anyone that's come my way in quite some time. Songs like "cheap city halo",
"getting the death card" and "(love) and the electric chair" really lay down that 'electrocution on the dance floor'
vibe ...hell they all do. Second release, first one being an ep on skin graft (which the cd is actually shaped like a chinese star!).
I saw this band live a few months ago and they really tore it up and put out. No, you won't be seeing them on mtv2 by all means, but that makes
it...well that much cooler. highly recommended.
"I heard you were a missing child at my funeral
and I heard you were jealous of the shovel that dug my grave
a deathbed as a roadside attraction
tourists would admire my condition
I'm in a psychic wonder
my lover put me 6 ft under"
