New White Stripes

I heard a cut from the upcoming new White Stripes album (due out April 1st) last night on "The Open Road" on KCRW. (Sorry, I can't remember the name of the song at this moment .) The bass line is fun - it somehow sounded like it could be the theme song on a kid's cartoon horror show. The vocals sounded somewhat distorted - must be filtered through something. I'd like to hear it again - and pay better attention next time :duh:

Seven Nation Army is also my favorite (so far). Wonder what the singles will be?

I haven't heard any songs yet, but I love the title of the album, Elephant. It just seems to really fit them. Unless of course they've completely changed up styles since their last album.

From my initial impression, I would say they are not changing up styles. And it's funny - I thought Gary Calamar mumbled Elephant, but I wasn't sure :D

Yea I was being sarcastic... as much as I like the Stripes, all their albums and songs sound White Stripe-y no matter what.

When's the new album coming out anyway?

Mmm yea I dig it

A lot of this album is really good.

Though I wonder how long they'll continue basically doing the same thing over and over? But they do it well, so I guess it's fine.

I finally got to listen to it this morning in the rainstorm amongst the chaos of amateur drivers around me. Tracks 6 & 7 particularly blew me away. Haven't finished listening to it yet, but intend to before "Conan Stripe Week".;)
