Mew (Denmark)

<image src="http://www.dr.dk/skum/boogie/_img/235x140/mew2.jpg">

Dear Jesus, I'm being nailed to the cross by this band I just found. The band is called Mew. The album currently jerking on almost every synapse is called "Frengers" and for the life of me, no matter what I'm thinking about, it comes out sounding like this.
Think pop delivered hard, string-filled, keyboards, and near angelic vocals.
They've been likened to be set somewhere in the clouds with My bloody Valentine, Lush, Cocteau twins and New Order. There are songs on this album that completely break down all feasable attempts to try and blow it off. The lead off track "Am I Wry? no" and track number 3, which is really the one nailing me fucking hard right about now, "Snow Brigade", both just kill with pop sensibilites that would be difficult at best to turn away from. I typically don't flock to this at first, but I am just flabbergast at how I just turn to puddy when I hear this record. The duet "symmetry", I just can't put into words. It makes me nearly forget most of their would be influences. Surely an import for most, but would be an amazing find considering what gets posted up here.

find this album now.
