I have pretty sweet seats; 4th Row Floor. Trying to get a photo pass from the new manager and crew. So far they have been very cool. So if Staples and Duran Duran allow it I think I should be able to shoot some stills.

I saw a poster of Beck at a record store earlier today and thought it was a real person. It scared the crap out of me.

once again it occurs to me i live on the wrong continent.

Sweet; I just noticed that the special guest for the Beck show is Cat Power.

urgh.

Man in a jump-suit dancing crazy mad.

This was such a sweet show. Beck played most all of Guero; opened up with Black Tambourine and threw in some Midnite Vultures tracks (nicotine and gravy, etc...)...

I guess Beck is doing fine as he now has a man to do the dancing for him, but every now and then he would throw out a couple moves to the crowds delight. The dancing thing was very iPod-esq, especially the shadow cast on the wall.

Any one know anything about the new band members? Who's the crazy bad ass dancing freak?

Cat Power was a little sleepy, but super sexy. The place was only half full as most of LA was stuck in traffic; packed for Beck.

Ima Robot tomorrow....

I'm not 100%, I've only seen one little photograph, but I think the dancing freak might be Ross Harris, Beck's old friend (and the Enchanting Wizard of Rhythm). He was also that little kid in Airplane! who asks the pilot stupid questions.

I couldn't take my eyes off crazy dancing man in his aviator glasses. Beck was awesome - of course. The owner told me the crowd was about 1400 strong - sold out (and I think over fire marshall capacity). Great show!
