Gigs
Hopefully with ImaR coming over when the album comes out, just wondered what gigs you UK fans had coming up.....
I'm going to see....
Be Your Own Pet
Belle & Sebastian
The Go Team
Graham Coxon.
Got a few local gigs as well (Battle, Little Man Tate, The Crimea, Morning Runner)
What you got?

The UK netters are alive and kicking!
I'm not much of a poster on here at all, but do check back more or less every day to keep track of any latest news. As regards to ImaR, are any
gigs they play here likely to be as a support do you think?
Only Alkaline Trio penned into my gig diary at the moment, but I'll be a regular at Sheffield Uni's Fuzz Club which plays host to a lot of
up and coming bands.

There's nothing out about Ima Robot comin over here yet, but I'm sure they'll come for at least one date!!
I remeber when they toured the debut, they played the NME Awards Gig at the Astoria, (Supporting Junior Seniour & My Morning Jacket) then did the
Von Bondies tour (a few dates anyway) then only did 1 solo show, at the Metro on Oxford Street.
I saw them 3 times back then.
I hope they get a good support slot, maybe with somene like Clap Your Hand Say Yeah, or someone like that. And then a couple of solo dates in the
capital as well!!
Good to see that there is still some UK.Netters that come over here. Haven't seen Mark or Dyler about on here for a while......

Oh, Coxon! he´s good live.....
went to see him in Munich last year.
he would even stand among the audience when the supporting act (very good: The Features) was playing.

I'm actually Deutschland-bound in September. I'm currently at University in Sheffield studying German and next year is my year abroad in a
German Universität. Not sure exactly where I'll end up yet, but it could well be Heidelberg. Would you recommend it?

Never been there before but I hear it´s
highly beautiful....bit oldfashioned but in
a very romantic way. bit of a German
Oxford. ...meets Avon, at least on that picture below:

If its anything like Oxford then you'll love it! I love my beautiful home city...
Topher, being in Sheffield, do you know of the mighty Little Man Tate?

It depends. Heidelberg is a nice city, but it's FULL of annoying tourists from all over the world. And it's rather small.. So I'd not
want to live there, though some say it's nice there. I recommend Cologne, that has about 1 million inhabitants, and there's a lot of stuff
to see and do - but it depends on in what kind of place you want to live. And of course, what region of Germany you'd like to see.

Hmmm...decisions, decisions...
Well, I'd narrowed it down to the following:
Heidelberg
Freiburg
Berlin
Frankfurt
Regensburg
Any of those you'd particularly suggest?
Thanks for the comments by the way...much appreciated!

Freiburg is near the Schwarzwald and bit like Heidelberg i think -- good decision would it be - that is if you like it nice and quiet. If you want
some action and annoying hipster people you to go to Berlin...Frankfurt is pretty depressing, grey and dull and bizness. Regensburg might turn out a
bit boring. Well, i still think Heidelberg might be the nicest place to go to..but it´s up to you.

Just thought I'd let you know that I've ended up getting Freiburg.
I had put Heidelberg down as my first choice, but Freiburg looks really nice too so I'm not really disappointed at all.
Mid-October is going to come around very fast and I imagine I'll get rather nervous as it draws close!

Havn't actually go many lines up..which is depressing. Just got my fingers crossed Ima robot will come over soon, and if they do, they will play
somewhere near me.
Might be going to see Rx bandits and Sonic boom six, and maybe delays..and have just got tickets for HIFH for next week.
