I joined that party as well. Hello, I love You is tops for me on the EP, followed by Paint the Town Red, and Two Hearts Too Young. And Tumbling Down. And Good Girl. And Search & Destroy..It's very reminiscent of early Sex Gang Children with the vocals and sporadic crescendos, etc.

the whole EP is gold, in my opinion.

but to analyze it further...
The 'guiding voice' - being my own voice, the one who tells me what to say, etc. - that is the bit that says more philosophically, regarding the routine, rhetorical nature of the 'pick up' - which is why my lead vocal seems to sound nearly bored, as if it is being pushed along to say such smitten things... the 'guiding voice' thinks it knows the politics of declaring love - a color by numbers sort of order...Before the declaration it is love - pure perhaps - and afterwards it becomes a proposition, political, hence the reluctance in my voice on the main vocal.
