"...And so to the single that everyone should make sure graces their ears this week, IMA Robot's “Public Access” EP. All four tracks very
idiosyncratic and very very catchy. With an eighties synthesiser sound evident in varying degrees, electronic dance beats clash with scratchy guitar
and frantic hooks, mimicking the successful sounds of The Rapture and LCD Soundsystem.
The chameleon voice of Alex Ebert jumps from laid-back placid to jagged shriek. “The Beat Goes On” with its simple accessorised synth hook is total
eighties Ah Ha or Duran Duran. “Sex Symbols On Parade” is a guitar propelled ragged juggernaut. This is very high quality catchy guitar/electronic
dance fusion, likely to be very popular in a short time. Definitely one that I'll be keeping a close eye on."
