Say! Nice pics. I've seen The Red Elvises, I think their gimmick is a giant triangular guitar.
Thanks for the Galaga pin-up, did you get in a game?
Hey Neuwave, since you're here, I gotta tell you about all these neat tricks my drum teacher taught me yesterday. When he was finished, I told him
that I couldn't believe that none of my other instructors ever bothered to share these big secrets with me. I learned how to distribute fast
paradiddles around, doing double paradiddles, too, hitting cymbals on the first (and third, for the doubles) single strokes. Hell, I sounded like
Buddy Rich and I wasn't doing anything all that complicated. Amazing.
Also, the six-stroke roll, how come no one ever told me about that?
Got any other good tricks?

Phobiac: Yeah I was looking for a place to hang on a Wednesday afternoon, and happened to be in Santa Monica, so I stopped there for a couple brews,
and a game of pool. I've been there only once to see my friends the Skeletones open up for Dave Wakeling a few years ago. Was my first time stoppin
there to hang, and turned out to be a cool place(not to mention the hot female bartender Frankie :o)
Drac: Didn't know you'd been venturing on the skins. Very cool! I've always just been a natural at beats. I learned to read a lil in marching band
7th-9th grade, but can't remember shit now. All my playing nowadays is purely organic. Heck with all the paradiddles, and techniques you just
mentioned. I could probably learn a lil from you. One of my unorthodox tricks is when I'm playing, and doin fill-ins, I sometimes just let the stick
drop on it's own, and let it bounce out sort of like fizzing out to create a double, or triple reverberating sound, but I'm sure any classic player,
or pro would object to that. Like my band teacher. He was such a priss. We always clashed, because all I wanted to do was play Duran Duran, or Flock
of Seagull beats on the tom-toms, and he was just staight edged. Real particular about how to hold the sticks, and all that crap. Oh well, when I got
to High School, I didn't care much about marching band anymore.
And no I didn't get a game of Galaga in. Was to enthralled in pool, and Heineken:P, but I did run into one of the members of 2 Live Crew on my way
out.:D

Did you say hello? Which of the Crew was it?
I started learning jazz drums, so I'm all over the technique, I still play bass drum with my heel planted. It wears you out, fast.

It was the guy on the right, but I don't know his name. All I know is me, and my friends used to call him "Blinky" back in the day. It was an inside
joke to us. One day we were watching one of their videos, and my friend just blurted out, "Hey, it's Blinky!", and we all just busted up for weeks, if
not years on that. I did say hi though, and that was it. I was a lil buzzed, and almost called him blinky. What a mistake that would've been.
p.s. so know word on any secret shows, or anything under assumed names?

Yes indeed. My Philipino friend came up with that.
