Can't wait for the studio version of Fire Water. Such a cool song. Love it when the trumpet comes it.

“it’s like, they’re hippies and everything, but they don’t, like, suck, you know?"
I have a feeling that the bro-ster who said the above has a lot to experience...

Coachella 2010: Edward Sharpe And The Magnetic Zeros
Monday, April 19, 2010 10:40AM - By Travis Woods
Though their peace and patchouli vibe can sometimes wear a bit thin to those non-hippies amongst us—and the question of authenticity arises when the
singer of an indie dance-rock, Ima Robot, grows a beard and leads a band-styled love-in—Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros’ early evening set on the
Outdoor Stage at Coachella on Saturday was, I gotta admit, pretty fun, despite the fact that the band’s audience was comprised primarily of adenoidal
bro-sters, the unholy union of sun-baked and beer-sloshed frat boys with the skinny-jean’d aesthetic of the common hipster. Further, frontman Alex
Ebert persevered despite a host of sound problems, turning in a bouncy, ebullient set.
The opening swoons of “40 Day Dream” got the show’s biggest reaction, with a heavy cloud of pot smoke beginning to envelop the crowd just as the music
swelled around us. “Dude,” one man next to me said to his companion, “it’s like, they’re hippies and everything, but they don’t, like, suck, you
know? It’s like, my dad would listen to this, but I’m listening to this two. It’s like indie and something else, right? Like it’s classic and
shit.” I probably wouldn’t have gone that far and delved into the c-word, but no other band of the week best exemplified the sheer communal party
atmosphere/ mindset that takes hold when 75,000 music fans retreat to the desert for one long, boozy weekend than the porch-stomping acoustics and
Lonely Hearts Club-styled pop of Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros.

"but i'm listening to this TWO" hahaha god dang it.
i'm fairly certain i don't like most of Edward Sharpe's fan-base...seeing as they are primarily hipster cool kids and what not.

Ya that's what I'm starting to think too. Hopefully we see it released somewhere soon. It's clearly a memorable and compelling record even when
hearing it played live for the first time so it might make sense to hold off and keep it for the next album. I just dont know if I can wait that long
lol

Yeah a deluxe album would be perfect. I think those two songs are it. The Bowie is coming out in Sept and the Chicken deal is still TBA last I
checked. They have the lyrics available though and I doubt the song is more than 2 min long lol.
Hopefully its a Om Nashi me-esque rendition.
