I purchased Public Access on vinyl a couple months ago (Ebay), and I'd definitely have to say that hearing The Beat Goes On vinyl-ized totally revitalized that song for me. It was already one of my favorites, but it's absolutely amazing hearing it played on my 70's Technics record player.

This is such a perfect song to dance to; I was wondering if anyone knows of it being played live yet?

Ha--the eternal question. I think I ask that of at least one person in the band every time I see them play live. Who knows, they've had some time off to rehearse/write/etc., maybe it'll show up on the west coast tour.
